Let them adjust. It'll just open up other options.

If Cehlarik doesn’t have the speed to exploit it, this just isn’t true.

It would appear that he will normally be the F3. This is fine with a center like Krejci who likes to change the pace and open up seams. Cehlarik appears to be smart enough to get to these open areas.

However, if the opposing teams start sagging off Krejci and staying in their lanes, like you do with a scrambling QB, that could be a problem. If that happens, DK would need to start shooting a lot more, and that’s just not his game.

I know even if the Bruins pick up a better top 6 winger I want Cehlarik in over Donato in the playoffs.

I really like him. He can give the Bruins that much needed net front presence.

He has very good hands and a high IQ and with him being able to play with players as skilled as Jake and Krejci, I don't see any reason he wont continue to be productive.

I think Cehlarik literally looked just as good on that line last season but they had some atrocious puck luck and a few goals called back, then he got sent down and never given another chance despite a good training camp.

I'm surprised it took the Bruins top hockey brass this long to give him a chance on a team that's absolutely starved for goals.

Nice to feel somewhat vindicated that I wasn't just imaging how good he played on his first call up though lol

Cehlarik not getting a look until now is just silly and this has little to do with the 2 goals.

Aside from one bad penalty...just about everything he did tonight was NHL caliber.

He just looks like a guy who gets it and I felt that way in his previous stints.

I hope they give him a solid 15-20 games or so to prove me wrong.

Absolutely and it's not even close. Funny how some have commented on Cehlarik's skating as one of the litany of excuses why he should stay in Providence up to this point despite outperforming several players before the season started. Donato's skating is not exactly great either, and on top of that Cehlarik doesn't go flying when someone breathes hard on him -- much stronger on the puck and along the boards. Ideally the Bs will get a top 6 winger and can move Cehlarik to the third line. There is zero question Cehlarik is more ready for the NHL than Donato. Donato needs significantly more strength.

I thought he should have made the team out of camp and Donato should have gotten a full year to develop in PRO.

Said this in October and after his call up, so this isn’t the goals talking

Imagine the trade value he would have if he had played 40 games...

Don't see that happening at all. Krecji will make them pay he is just to gifted, he's the type of player you can't sag on, he'll either Shoot, find the speedy Debrusk or late d-man jumping in. Like a QB picking a zone apart.

Quit pissing on the Kids parade, I mean he's no Heinen:sarcasm: but the kids a player

100%. Donato will get abused in the playoffs just like Gudas did tonight. No way do I feel good about shipping Cehlarik out and betting on Donato.
