Incidentally, this game feels like the first one in a long time where we got a lot of clean zone exits. Clean zone exits equal clean zone entries, clean zone entries equal great looks.

Question is whether this team can generate good exits and entries to the same degree against a non-bad non-tired team. It would make a hell of a difference to our finishing.

Wings were cheating for offense, that’s why…doubt NYR will do that unless we get an early substantial lead for some reason

Eh, not sure about that. I can't remember the Kappy goal exactly, but the Blueger goal was just Seider trying to pinch and getting destroyed by Boyle. Next thing you know Zohorna and Blueger are off on a two on one, nearest Detroit backchecker dives at Zohorna's pass but isn't close enough... if that's cheating, it's the same amount of cheating as every non-Trotz coached team. I don't really recall them cheating in the second either tbh. Maybe a bit after that flurry of goals.

Our 90 points gives us a 62.8% chance of making the playoffs, even if we lost the next 15 straight in regulation.

Win the next one and that goes up to 85%.

Point being, we may have just crossed the threshold and have qualified, for all intents and purposes.
