He's got a shot at 40 with the way he's crushing it right now.
Yeah he's on pace for 40 if he plays all 73 games. He's got a shot at 40 with the way he's crushing it right now.
Yeah. Eighth in the NHL on the coattails of guys with actual talent. He was 14th in goals per game in 2017/18 (0.47), 16th in 2018/19 (0.49), and is currently 11th in 2019/20 (0.52). With that consistency he's 8th overall in that 3 year span.

Easily the most underrated goal scorer in the league, he'd have 40+ the past 2 seasons and this year if not for some injuries. Still might hit 40 this year anyway though.

I would think that Kopitar and Toews will not be in real contention for the Selke this season, maybe just O'Reilly. Either way, hope he nails down that record 5th Selke and they can stop referring to it as the "Bob Gainey" award and rebrand it the "Bergy Award", like it should be.Bergeron was a beast tonite vs Flames.Cannot count the plays he came back and killed chances .He does not get Selke this year they shove it up their butts.

it's amazing he's done so well considering he's "riding marchand and pasta's coattails"
(partially for @Dr Hook 's enjoyment)
Marchand could not possibly have made a more illogical play to try to get him the hat trick lmao. Bergeron fed him at the Flames blueline from the Bruins own zone and Marchand more or less could have just walked in but he decides to circle back and lob a crazy floater pass into like 3 Flames just inside the zone with the off chance Bergeron can somehow find it rushing in from his own zone. Worst thing was there was still significant time on the clock for the Flames to score. And he almost did it again last night- saw that Calgary net empty out and thought to myself "here comes another Patrice stat-padder." pfft overrated. Those two first period goals were all Brad and Pasta, too.

There's the team confidence, they knew at some primal level they weren't giving up a goal to the Flames . I still think Patrice can get his 40 softies this year, though, and make everyone think he is good.
4 Selkes in the last 8 seasons. The other 4 seasons during that stretch he has been 2nd or 3rd. Probably should have 1 or 2 more Selkes during that stretch. I try not to have Bruins-colored glasses on when I consider who deserves awards, but I'm sure there is still bias. In my as unbiased opinion as possible I cannot see how the voters can find reason to not award the Selke to Bergy this season. He has been an absolute monster.
it's become a thing since @TaroTsujimoto posted some drivel that Bergy was mediocre and was only putting up numbers because of Marchand and Pasta.I generally like you as a poster... please tell me this is sarcasm.
