Agree. Blue line back right now is a crap show. Can’t clear the puck, constant turnovers, puck watching, and allowing anybody who feels like it to sit in the blue paint along with Bob. You know, whatever works.
I'm not even trying to say Bob has been fantastic, but he's been good enough for the most part minus these last two games. Our defense is soft as f***, but no one wants to talk about that.

The whole team looked “off” tonight. It looked like lag in a video game. The puck would come free they’d all stare for a second then go after it. Not to mention the dumb passes and the over passing in general. Then on top of that your goalie shits the bed not a recipe for winning.
Only one other team in the entire league allows more goals than Florida. If you don’t think the 10 million dollar goalie has a huge role to play in that you’re being delusional. Three softies tonight and single handedly cost us the game. I’m tired of the f***ing excuses.

Yet another game where we had more quality chances than the opposition. Our defense is so bad everyone says but we continually get more chances than the opposition. Consistently. Night in night out yet our goalie is at bottom of league in every category

No one is disagreeing but people here want to act like the bum ass defense we had last year is so much better because Bob is here.
This defense isn’t great by any stretch of the imagination, but elite goaltenders are supposed to be capable of hiding defensive deficiencies by making big saves and bailing the team out once in a while. Bobrovsky is not doing that. In fact, our offense bails him out most games or he single handedly hands the other team a win - like he did tonight.

What do our scoring chances have to do with the defense? The two don't correlate. We have a very talented offense, of course we're going to get a lot of chances. That doesnt mean that when our defense screws up, it doesn't screw up royally.

How slow are you gonna "learn the new system" actually? St Louis learned on the fly after coaching change, Islanders learned in offseason. Your team looks exactly the same as last year, juggernaut offence-allergic to defence. And Bob in his "OMG i'm 5on1 all the time" panic mode.

Uhh. That 2nd goal against. Jets player front of net untouched. Whole team watches puck. Happens every single game. Several people have pointed this out, one poster even broke it down with pictures from the Boston game.
And everyone here agrees ekblad Matheson stralman and weegar are all much improved. Yet here we are with worse goaltending somehow

I get the inability to clear. But which of the 4 was on the D? The Ehlers goal? Ok sure, but that was still a very stoppable shot
Bob got schooled tonight on clean shots with minimal traffic. From distance. Bob deserves 75 percent of the blame for his shit numbers period. That 3 goal off connors rebound was absolutely pathetic and comical
