Barkov way to passive there. He’s gotta take a damn shot instead of trying to always get rid of it and look for perfect play
No one was screening the goalie, nor was anyone skating to create a better shooting opportunity. Also one Detroit player ready to attempt a block if Barkov did try to shoot it.

So you want him to take a low percentage shot, or you want him to take it so you can complain about it either way?

The two Vezinas say he ain’t a loser ?
A lot of loser goalies could get a vezina behind Columbus stingy defense. Korpisalo looked like a bum at one point. Columbus and now he’s great. Quite the trend. He couldn’t even sniff a vezina now.

Korpisalo has played his entire career in Columbus. I am assuming he looked like a bum in Columbus too ?

Unlucky to not sneak something through at the end. Lots of bodies in front of Bernier, but also too much sloppy/panicky puck handling.

People want to defend Bobrovsky because he didn’t have an awful game and the team played bad in the 2nd period.

You do realize that it wasn’t that difficult for him, right? The Wings literally had 0 scoring chances in the 1st period and I don’t even think they 1 in the 3rd either. The only scoring chance in the 3rd was a Stralman turnover that led to a breakaway/hit the goal post.

It was a normal night for a goalie. Bernier dealt with more and beat him. Stop saying that the team plays so much worse in front of him. This already happened to Driedger earlier in the year that he played even better against the Red Wings and Greiss beat him.

Stop defending this guy already.

Ran into a hot goalie, on to the next one. I'm confident in our team this year and think they'll bounce back next game.

Bob was under pressure for about 12 mins and gave up 2 goals. Bernier was under pressure for about 25 mins and gave up 1, he made the saves.

There’s a clear lane to shoot two different times. He’s good enough to beat the goalie with a good shot. But passing it back and forth works just fine with under a minute.

That was one of the most embarassing periods of hockey I’ve ever seen a blue line handle the puck. That might have been a record for turnovers by a blue line.

Forsling out of position, trying to protect a foot from the blue line skating backhand, easily stripped

Weegar turnovers galore

Ekblad trying to stick handle around guys 90 seconds into a shift when he could have just made a simple play. Shooting into screens, turnovers in his own zone

Yandle, got a tired Red Wings team out there and stands with the puck in his own zone until the Wings change, then throws it away to them.

just the massive amount of turnovers it’s hard to believe it was only a one goal game at the end. They didn’t deserve to win that game based on the lack of focus on the back end.

Why is it so important to have a scapegoat?
