there's no hypocrisy there, it's pretty simple to understand. If teams like the Isles or Habs play some form of "trap" that's all they'll do the whole game and you can count on them for scoring garbage goals (if they score), Tampa ? (or other skilled teams) will not hesitate to show you their skills whenever they see an opening.

When tampa locked down their 2-1 lead, nobody said a word.

If the isles happened to have a 2-1 lead, and locked down, the "boring" narrative would be in full effect.

The lightning have more ability to make the highlight reel. There's no doubt about that, but from a structural standpoint, all teams that get deep in the playoffs have to be able to lock down, or they have no chance.

This is where the challenge is a joke. Should have to occur within 10-15 sec before goal not a minute.

I don't know if I rather face Islanders...

Barzal and their other speedy forwards are gonna be a nightmare to play against.. Barzal especially.
