Did we have Bayreuther at a prospects camp a few years ago?

He looks pretty good on the Dallas blueline
I don't think he's definitely better than anyone we have not named Lovejoy or Santini, Yak, random call up, whatever.

This Petersen goalie from LA looks pretty good.

He was a few minutes away from his second shutout in like 5 or 6 NHL games. Vancouver just tied it.

Quick is signed for however many more years, but maybe this guy makes Campbell expendable, rather than himself.

Looks like Kovalchuk with another sub 10-minute TOI game. That signing worked out well.

I think part of this is Kovalchuk really isn't that good, but another part of this is Willie Desjardins is one of the worst coaches the NHL has seen this decade. Has to be a tank move to bring him in.

This is why I say, be careful what you wish for in firing Hynes. Of the 3 teams that have made a head coaching change so far, only Edmonton upgraded in the slightest. Everyone else downgraded.

LA probably the most, but it's tough to say with Chicago. At least we don't know enough about Chicago's new young coach at the NHL level. We know Desjardins sucks. His icetime usage has always been suspect. So much so that opposing team announcers have already chuckled at him with the Kings this year, as well as the CBC crew (or one of the Canadian crews) laughing at him and ripping into him for his Linden Vey usage in Vancouver, when they thought they were off the air and really weren't.

chicago loses 8-3 against vegass?

i'd be livid if i was a hawks fan…….inexcusable garbage
Really falling under the radar of embarrassment tonight was the Flyers blowing a 3-1 lead to the Senators at home and losing 4-3 in regulation. And the coup de grace? Mike McKenna was in net for the Sens tonight.

Goals against review for tonight

Sharks vs Sabres: 3 goals against Jones, 1 stoppable. 2 goals against Hutton, 1 stoppable.

Senators vs Flyers: 3 goals against McKenna, 1 stoppable. 4 goals against Stolarz, 1 stoppable.

Hurricanes vs Canadiens: 1 goal against McElhinney, no chance. 2 goals against Price, no chance on either.

Ducks vs Lightning: 1 goal against Miller, no chance. 3 goals against Domingue, no chance on any.

Avalanche vs Predators: 2 goals against Varlamov, no chance on either. 3 goals against Rinne, 2 stoppable.

Coyotes vs Wild: 3 goals against Raanta, 1 stoppable. 4 goals against Dubnyk, 1 stoppable.

Penguins vs Jets: 3 goals against DeSmith, 2 stoppable. 4 goals against Hellebuyck, 1 stoppable. And it was a VERY bad one, probably gonna be softy of the night.

Golden Knights vs Blackhawks: 3 goals against Fleury, no chance on any. 6 goals against Crawford, 2 stoppable. 2 goals against Ward in relief, 1 stoppable.

Stars vs Oilers: 1 goal against Khudobin, no chance. Koskinen gets the shutout.

Kings vs Canucks: 1 goal against Petersen, no chance. 2 goals against Markstrom, no chance on either.

So 53 goals scored on goalies tonight, 14 are stoppable. That's a little over 26%. Not too bad. That's probably about average. Combined save percentages tonight were .911%, which is right above the current league average.

Losing to Mckenna is putrid.

A lot of no-shows and boos in Philly last night.

Did you see that Ducshense GWG?
Tremendous eye-hand coordination to bat that puck in on the backhand being that far away from the net.
