Should be trading Strome in a separate deal and then trade Shaw and something to Arizona for Kessel if we are going for it, which obviously we are.

Kessel makes a lot of sense given he's a pending UFA, but for that same reason there should be a decent market for him at the deadline

The problem is 31 other teams know all about Strome’s situation.
What about a swap with Bruins forward Debrusk vs Strome, maybe does two need a scenary change, i dont know Strome a lot what his problem, big guy who can play C\W

Beaudin played well for Canada in the role they gave him at the WC.

No reason to think he can't step up even more and take a top 4/5 spot if the opportunity is there.

For me, I think it makes the most sense for us to have balance in our pairs. This shutdown pair of McCabe/Murphy isn't really the best option IMO- it would be our top pk unit likely, but McCabe can thrive with Seth Jones..Jones can produce the offense while McCabe does what he does best. In turn, Murphy could use someone with offensive skill to help balance his pairing out...a strong skater..

If de Haan is here, I just hope he works his ass off, trains hard, and can be a decent veteran guy...he played worse than dog shit last year, but I will keep a sliver of hope for him to somehow bounce back a bit if not moved.

This may be an unpopular opinion but I'd have traded Reichel over Boqvist.

I'd feel pretty damn good about their D core with both Jones and Boqvist.

Bowman fatigue.
2022 first being traded. Fan confidence in the team makes them nervous about the win/lose record next year.
Jones extension aav wise

If you have both Jones and Boqvist, what do you do with Murphy? He definitely fills a needed role, he's not a bottom pair guy. That leaves Boqvist on the bottom pair.

I have to think that if Toews is actively reaching out to Fleury to convince him to play for us, then he must be feeling pretty good about playing this upcoming season.

Color me optimistic!

All of this fills my heart with absolute joy. Hope to see Tazer back asap.

No way. Boqvist’s skating issues might really limit his ceiling and we need forward prospects with legit top 6 talent so bad.
Their top 6 is pretty set for the immediate future.
I'm not sure that Reichel is a better prospect than Kurashev.

I don't think that Boqvist's skating is an issue at all.

Murphy would be traded in that case.
Honestly I would have tried to move him in the Jones deal instead of the 2nd 1st round pick.

I think Toews other wing is open, any of the extra guys can nab that spot.

All of the Tampa guys say TJ is much better at center so a young guy is likely going to take that spot with Toews. Hoping it's Reichel tbh!

Any of Kurashev, Nylander or Gaudette could potentially fill that spot besides Reichel.

We’ll see. Still don’t know what Toews will be if he returns at all and Dach still needs to prove himself. I’d also rather not force guys like Hagel into top 6 roles. Outside of Reichel I’m not sold on many of our forward prospects being legit top 6 wingers.

Boqvist skating stinks.

Lost in all the roster talk is Hardman

I liked what we saw from him and think he will be good 4th liner with potential to become a good 3rd line winger in future
