Beaudin played well for Canada in the role they gave him at the WC.
No reason to think he can't step up even more and take a top 4/5 spot if the opportunity is there.
For me, I think it makes the most sense for us to have balance in our pairs. This shutdown pair of McCabe/Murphy isn't really the best option IMO- it would be our top pk unit likely, but McCabe can thrive with Seth Jones..Jones can produce the offense while McCabe does what he does best. In turn, Murphy could use someone with offensive skill to help balance his pairing out...a strong skater..
If de Haan is here, I just hope he works his ass off, trains hard, and can be a decent veteran guy...he played worse than dog shit last year, but I will keep a sliver of hope for him to somehow bounce back a bit if not moved.
