5.8" is still massive, my Nexus 6P was the biggest I wanted to go, and it was 5.7". Are they officially killing off the iPad Mini then with a 6.5" phone?

Unsure. I don't think they are talking iPads at this event. I don't find the 5.8" screen massive when it has the bezel size the X has.

I like the idea of the large screen and that new chip is cool, but it's easy to see why the days of masses running out just to get the latest is dead. $1,100 and up for the premium...yeesh. The 516GB is the same cost as a really good laptop.

Why? It's dead. Get over it. Bluetooth headphones are incredible right now. Audiophile? No, but the new Panasonic headset I just picked up is great. Although it may go back for the new Sony . . .

Have any other electronics manufacturers abandoned headphone jacks?

Was looking forward to getting the red XR (before I knew it was called the XR), but with the display and camera on the XS I’m strongly reconsidering. Upgrading from the 7, so either will be a massive improvement, but I don’t know if I want to sacrifice the XS features just for the red color.

I'm of two minds in regards to Bluetooth headphones: I own a couple pairs, one of which are the og Sony 1000x, and they're fine, because I happen to be moving around (and the ANC is terrific).

But they still sound worse than being plugged in, and they cost more. The BT buds I have are somewhere in my apartment, but they're fiddly to begin with, and Android is crap with respect to aptx support.

Don't think I'll get the new Xr, I have to keep reminding myself I'm trying to save up for a house next year, and everything counts.

$1,519 for 64 GB
$1,729 for 256 GB
$1,999 for 512 GB

Those are some crazy CAD $ prices.

The price jumps don't make much sense. The lowest model should be 128 GB.

For a 64 GB iPhone XS Max it would cost me $1,746.47 - yikes.

I won't be upgrading for another 2 years, as much as I'd love a bigger iPhone X, I'll stick to my X
