Health and mental well-being first and foremost. At least he has money though.
I do feel for Nolan.
Hoping he recovers. Sad for a young player to already face so many problems. Retirement is becoming more likely.
Money? He’s earned $4.6M and on the final year $1.2M contract. Missed approx. $9M in bonuses and regardless if he gets another deal, it could heavily bonuses weighted. He has no education beyond Highschool after jumping into the NHL at 18. If he never plays again, this money will run out.
He needs to get healthy. Hockey is secondary before he deals with a possibly poor financial future.
