Anybody still want to freak out about signing Folin in the summer?

Certainly not "freaking out" but still think he's unnecessary. He's insurance, sure but you had to think that if Juulsen was showing lingering effects that one of Fleury or Brook would be ready to play 3rd pairing minutes. Nothing so far in training camp has changed my mind on that.

So does it hurt to have folin as a spare part? Not really. Do we need him? I dont really think so.

I really dont understand why that keeps being repeated, its like their covering their asses on concussion due diligence.

He may not have a concussion, but he DID suffer a severe one last year...and big ones side effects can linger for quite a while...

I just hate the team is seemingly acting like "well we dont know where these headaches are coming from!"

Because if its concussion related, the medical staff failed by clearing him for contact. As Ive stated, once theyre gone, post concussion syndrome dont usually come back a few months later, they either persist or heal.

No the team is clearly trying to cover their ass, and thats fine I guess

Any symptoms being "gone" is purely from the (i dont want to lose my spot in the NHL) mouth of juulsen

Good chance his symptoms have persisted all this time, only really getting back onto the ice and going full speed, and the eyes constantly glaring at white ice and white lights seems to have re-ignited his PCS.

So ... its that , or a brain tumor.

It's not a tumor! It's not a tumor at all!

Which is the point, they made a mistake there and thats it. Or Juulsen is an awfully good liar but through my six concussions, I never couldve lied once about my concussions. The fogginess is way too easy to spot.

Hope it's nothing serious. Would suck to have your life changed forever at such a young age and not to be able to play the sport you love.

Until camp opened Habs had given assurances that his eye situation was resolved. If that’s the case, then something else is now impacting him. Hoping he gets to the bottom of it and recovers.

He has NHL salary for over 50 games, plus AHL, hes basically made two years worth of a higher end doctorate level graduate worth of salary so far, he could be in worse hands.

It is possible though that his unfortunate luck.....has cost him his future and millions of dollars....I definately hope not,,,,he will be a great addition to the team!!

My PCS comes and goes, I get symptoms about every 2 months.

Media types don't know any more than we do about this. They're merely feeding us what the Habs's take is. We've already seen how the Habs have claimed during the summer that Juulsen was OK and cleared to play.

Apparently, the Habs doctors have issued an opinion and Juulsen consulting another specialist, is supposed to be "precautionary".

All we have is Juulsen's extensive concussion history and his more recent eye injury, as events that may or may not be related to his current state.

And, we also have the Habs clearing him to play this summer.

What happened now that did not declare itself before camp when Juulsen conceivably skated? Whatever we'd answer would be pure speculation since we don't have access to several pieces of critical information that neither the Habs, nor Juulsen's camp has released so it's wait and see for now.

He has to continue playing well as the competition he face continues to stiffen. I want to see him battle true top NHL players
Yeah for sure. He certainly looks like he can handle it though. Thought Juulsen was going to take that 3rd RD spot but with his post concussion syndrome, I don't think we see him this year
