I really hope he can get get healthy. Would hate to see his career ebd so young from sacrificing his body to block a shot.
I may be remembering wrong, but didn't his injury first occur when he just put his stick in the way to deflect a shot, but the puck went up to his eye?
Yes, I still consider that blocking a shot.

Okay. But I don't really consider that sacrificing his body because he didn't try using his body to block the shot. But no matter how we view that part, we both wish this kid health because not only was he the team's most NHL-ready prospect before his injury, but like you say, you don't want to see a kid in his early 20's have to call it a career.
Juulsen blocks a lot shots with his body and any time you stick your stick you to block a shot there's a danger of the ricochet effect. It had just happened to him earlier in the game in fact.
That's how I remember it as well. I think he continued playing for several games after that.I may be remembering wrong, but didn't his injury first occur when he just put his stick in the way to deflect a shot, but the puck went up to his eye?
Should be good news that the second opinion didn't find something more.
Am guessing Juulsen was looking for the 2nd opinion to find something less.
The Habs sent him to get a second opinion to be sure that their diagnosis is right. It looks like the Habs medical staff was right since they said the specialist came to the same conclusion. He's been skating solo this week.
This is such a strange injury. Figured if it wasn’t serious he’d be good to go by now, yet another season has started and he’s still having issues.
Didn’t he and is agent seek the 2nd opinion, the fact that we didn’t hear of new diagnostic and he is skating in solo isn’t great news it probably means that the eye injury is confirmed to be serious and that there nothing to do but wait and hope it improves...The Habs sent him to get a second opinion to be sure that their diagnosis is right. Great news about Juuls and the second opinion stating that he isn't suffering from a concussion, just headaches... still bad, but not as bad.
Back skating with the club. No timetable of course but a step in the right direction for the kid.
What the hell is causing his headaches then? I'd like to know more about his situation and if he feels like this is in the past now. Many have counted him out of our plans but I still have faith in his ability and potential.
We'll never know. No one will say. Look at Julien's answer, does it sound credible?
I'm beyond speculating on medical conditions from my couch. They've cleared him to play? Then it's good enough for me.
We'll find out soon enough if Juulsen can handle the rigors of a game and to what extent he might remain indisposed, if at all.
I wonder if he had headaches all summer or did it just pop up in camp? Anyways, I agree, if they list him as healthy, he should be good to go. Go down and re earn your spot on our depth chart. Fleury passed him so lets see how hungry he is to get his spot back.
