Watched him in juniors and after his first TC tourney (IIRC), I compared him to Roman Josi Lite. Thought that was a pretty bold comparison on my part. Now it seems a poor mans Josi might be feasible.

I haven’t been tracking him intently, but he plays pretty mistake free hockey for a rookie from what I’ve noticed. I really like his timing too. He doesn’t seem to have a great shot but I see some decent hands otherwise. And it’s not just sheer outworking the opponent. Maybe I’m just catching him at the right times, but he seems to make a lot of high efficiency/high IQ plays.

It’s an optimistic take, but he could be the Calle Jarnkrok we lost years ago.
