Bizarre but honestly expected worse going be some of the meltdowns I saw on twitter.

A 24 team playoff is going to be embarrassing.

At most they should go to 20 teams, with #7 playing #10 and #8 and playing #9 in each conference to qualify for the real playoffs. Either a one game play-in, or a 3 game series.

Yeah, 24 teams is too much. Teams like Arizona, Chicago, or Montreal don't deserve to be in the playoffs this year.

They are trying to make it even for the bubble teams if they can't make it to 82 reg season games. Not that this is a good way to do it.

I dont hate this 24 team PO if the bottom teams are playing a bunch of play in games to get the top 16. Much better than finishing reg season.

Be nice if the top 16 teams could get some meaningful games to get in shape too. Not sure how that will be possible though. More of a scrimmage and then it will be hard to ramp up. Flyers were so hot too.
