The Knights brought Pirri back up and he scored a goal again.
Erik Karlsson has 1 goal and 14 assists in his last 6 games.

maybe the flyers should start doing this too. might help them score more than 2 or less goals per game. send the power plays down then recall them. The Knights brought Pirri back up and he scored a goal again.

Weird...I read EK was done by some people. The Knights brought Pirri back up and he scored a goal again.

Side note: Hockey Central saying Boston will add a RW for the DeBrusk/Krejci line.

It's not a coincidence.I would just like to say how weird it looks to go away when they do well and come back when they dont.
It's not a coincidence.
Rangers are still booty with Lundqvist. And All-star is a bit ubiquitous since every team needs to be represented. Some guys make it that don't deserve it by default, others get left behind who should've been included. Torts often is attributed to a quote in effect, "Whomever has the better goalie is the better coach." That dismisses the skaters. It's too simple, the pieces are too interconnected.Maybe coaches are overrated?
McLellan 9-10-1
Hitchcock 11-10-2
guess the honeymoon is over.
Meanwhile Chicago is 6-4-0 the last ten games under Colliton, so Q's 6-6-3 start isn't looking much better than Colliton's 10-16-4 now.
Especially since Colliton was promoted to install a more aggressive scheme in line with the modern NHL. And the team struggled with it.
Q had 76 points with Kane, DeBrincat, Schmaltz, Toews, Saad and Keith last year.
Reason was a 17-30-8 record with any goalie not named Crawford. Hmm, sound familar?
Coaches matter, but given my druthers, I'll take the all star goalie over the highly rated coach.
It's like that guy with Couturier, but that hiatus was pretty damn long
i can only guess it's deadhead, from the amount of ignored poster last post i see on the board.I would just like to say how weird it looks to go away when they do well and come back when they dont.
But getting a new coach doesn't cost the team any actual assets (other than actual money spent), so there is zero excuse to employ bad ones.Calgary's good coach couldn't do squat in Carolina, and while Smith tanked, Rittich is 15-4-3. Goalies are flakes.
Everyone says Hakstol was carried by Giroux/Couts/TK/Voracek last year, well, how about Gaudreau/Monahan/Lindholm/Tkachuck? (the last three drafted #6, #5, #5). If Peters had that kind of talent in Carolina, he'd still be in Carolina (and how come he couldn't get Lindholm to play that way in Carolina?).
Take away Lundqvist and the Rangers are probably the worst team in the NHL. And he's struggling this year (should have moved him while there was a market).
Coaching matters, but it's a bit overrated, the NHL isn't the NFL, where schemes and playcalling rules.
And even then, Switzer has a ring.
Build a solid team, get a top goalie, and you can cycle through coaches until one wins it all. Which a number of teams have done.
But getting a new coach doesn't cost the team any actual assets (other than actual money spent), so there is zero excuse to employ bad ones.
It is a lot easier to fire your coach and hire a new (potentially) better one than it is trade for an allstar goaltender.
All, except for Kraken
Fish are stupid
Sockeyes sounds like a (bad) cartoon hockey team name.
Good Lord. Sending you a copy of my book, "The Great Big Book of Things Which Do and Do Not Suck" - I'll expect a report by next Friday.
What a horrible hockey team name...
Boston would be a great fit. They have good pieces to trade and if we do get their first it would be higher than other targets most likely.Weird...I read EK was done by some people.
