White ended his 20 year old season playing in 21 games after New Years, put up 6 points in his final 12 games, after playing 2 in his 19 year old season plus a playoff game, and had his spot cemented in Ottawa the next year, whereas Brown had a 2 game cup of coffee in the NHL at 20, along with Abramov, Chlapik, Archibald and 3 or 4 D at the end of the year. White plays a 2 way, defensively responsible style the can shift to wing, that makes a much easier transition into a lineup, as he did. Brown is an offensive Center, who has never played wing in his life and has a total of 6 games under his belt, all of which were of the 6-7 minute variety. The Sens pushed White into the NHL last season. White hardly blew the doors of rookie or training camp but the Sens gave him the chance to develop in the NHL. Brown has accomplished more at a higher level of play than White had (AHL scoring). If he is close I hope they give him a shot rather than auto assigning him to Belleville.
The leading scorer in Whites AHL season was Chlapik with 32, White came 3rd with 27 with 5-13 less games played than everyone on the team.
7 guys from last years team had better ppg's than the top scorer in Belleville 2 years ago (including the top 2 on the team who were Brown's linemates at 1.03 and 0.90 compared to Brown's 0.75) in which they were a literal tire fire both on and off the ice. Last year saw a gigantic restructuring of our farm system.
