You’re probably referring to Mike Shannon. He was a player here in the 60s and has been broadcasting with the team since the early 70s. He’s in his last year, as he’s retiring. That’s who I imagine you’re talking about

Checked the Cards box scores the past few days and noticed several errors were committed.

So I looked up the fielding stats by team for the last few seasons and saw something remarkable.

In 2018, the Cardinals committed the most errors with 133.

The following season, they committed the fewest with only 66.

The COVID season was kinda weird, but they were in the bottom half of fewest errors committed.

This season they are back toward having the most errors.

Getting swept by the Reds is pretty hysterical. Injuries are piling up and a lot of regulars are not pulling their weight. Easily the most talented team in the division, but most likely won’t see the playoffs. One of the more disappointing seasons in recent memory.
