It is now more than once in a 5 year career. It's twice that he's done something suspension-worthy in his relatively short NHL career. So on average every 2.5 seasons he injures someone with an illegal hit. That's not great. Not sure how you can really spin that to say he's a clean player.

They actually ended up scoring later on in this sequence and that goal held up as the GWG.

Ghost even assisted it.

Id say they made the right choice by not jumping him

I love physical play but Komarov is a POS hitter who has little concern for the safety of other players and gets away (no suspension) with lots of really borderline crap and then many Leafs fans use his limited-suspension-history to justify why he is a "clean" hitter. He isn't. He's a cheap POS because so many of his hits result in head injuries.

Not being funny, if you look in the first video Ghost knows that Komorov is there... he then turns into the boards and intentionally putting himself in a vulnerable position.

Therefore, not a check from behind.
