The NHL trade deadline is approaching.
Forwards Toronto Maple Leafs
My version. My desires. (Template)

HYMAN MATTHEWS MARNER
SCHWARTZ TAVARES NYLANDER
FOLIGNO THORNTON HOFFMAN
SPEZZA ENGVALL SIMMONDS

GOALIES: Campbell, Bernier (@ 50% Ret).
DEFENSE: Stecher - (@ 50% Ret). adding depth of defense.
(SCHWARTZ, FOLIGNO, HOFFMAN) - (@ 50% Ret).

There are many other players:
Hall, Dzingel, Ryan, Bozak, Glendening, Oleksiak, Del Zotto…

New York Islanders is already doing! Palmieri (@ 50% Ret)!!!
Toronto can do it.
There are resources and financial capabilities.
There will be no irreparable losses.
From what I've heard about Hoffman, I don't believe the 3rd line is where he'd be best used. Also, if he isn't scoring, I've heard he's a liability. Personally, I hope he's not on Dubas' list.

ESPN has an interesting article by Emily Kaplan and Greg Wyshynski.
“2021 NHL trade deadline: Six deals we'd like to see”. (7:00 AM ET)

Six NHL trades we'd like to see: Ryan, Hall, Driedger, more

I am recently on the forum. The first time I post a link to an article. I read the forum rules. I hope I'm not breaking the rules. :help:

Toronto - Anaheim deal proposed.

Toronto get:
D Josh Manson, F Danton Heinen
Anaheim get:
C Alexander Kerfoot, D Timothy Liljegren, 2021 first-rounder, 2022 second-rounder

What do you think?
i would throw up. Manson isnt worth basically 2 1sts and a 2nd.

Would the Leafs be interested in Iafallo and Lizotte? LA could take Kerfoot back if necessary.

I'd do Kerfoot + 2nd round pick for Iafallo. I think that's a pretty good hockey trade if the Kings are looking to move on from him.

It is for me. Nylander is a perimeter player. A poor man's Gaudreau. He's a good offensive player, but Tkachuk is unique. A 2-way power forward and pest who can score 30 goals. Name me another player in the league like that.
I have never seen a player who scores so many goals and gets so many chances within 10 feet of the net called a perimeter player. People do love narratives eh

You guys are idiots.

Kerfoot is one our best players right now.
He plays shutdown D, PKs, is speed, can finish, excellent passer, and, has chemistry with most of the team.

He's not getting traded. Iafallo plays with Anze Kopitar --- ofcourse his numbers are going to be inflated!

Kerfoot plays on the 4th line, with no PP minutes, and is still producing 0.5PPG.
He's' our ultimate mismatch, and, absolutely dominates other teams 4th lines.

For what it's worth, playing Iafallo off the top line is also a mismatch. His cap hit for the rest of the season, at 50% retention, would only be $303,000.

Iafallo is without a doubt a top six forward for Toronto, maybe even playing with with Matthews and Marner on the top line.

Taking back Kerfoot was purely a cap dump scenario, but if he's valuable, I'll happily pass on him.
