This is not surprising.
Coming from someone who claimed DD played one whole shift on his offside to impress the Olympic committee. Dude there are plenty of conspiracy boards out there. Make yourself at home.

I always figured Faber as a Mikey Anderson clone. Maybe that's a lazy comparison since they both played for Minnesota, but that's the impression that I always got from him.
I think Faber's ceiling is a bit higher and he's a better skater but he could be another Mikey Anderson never know. Not that it matters but Mikey played for Minnesota-Duluth maybe you meant the state of Minnesota.

Watch Jacob Slavin play, that is his ceiling. Slavin is a defensive stud without being a physical force (I know some don’t think that is possible).

There is a reason he has been voted near the top of his conference by Big Ten players he competes against, Big Ten coaches who’s occupation is knowing a ton about this league as well as the media who cover the league.

That's encouraging, and I'm sure you've seen him a heck of a lot more than I have. Slavin seems to have a lot more offensive upside, though, and his size helps him. Faber isn't small but he doesn't have that huge reach like a Slavin or Muzzin.

I guess as always it's going to come down to how well his play translates to the pro game. Winning the Big-10 DPOY has been a curse for quite a few years now, but York seems to be breaking the bad streak. Hoping Faber follows.

Not many years you have two defenseman as good as Power and Hughes in any league other than the NHL. Being mentioned with two top-5 pick future stars is encouraging for a 2nd rounder.

I think Faber has a better skillset and hockey IQ, at least at the same age.

Most impressive is his composure.

Anderson always makes me think of Muzzin. Mental lapses, but plays the body and takes risks to play his two-way game.

The comparison to Slavin is a good one. Not physical, but you're not beating him.

So Cal
Have to give Blake credit for his dmen scouting .....between Bjornfot, Durzi, Faber and Spence he landed 4 players with clear determination to make the NHL. Any doubt in a redraft Faber goes first rd? Same with Spence.

These Kids have exceeded all expectations relative to their draft position. Note as well....re Faber to Mikey Andersson- As the Kings depth chart on D get thicker Anderson along with Walker could be great trade bait

I really doubt Anderson's going anywhere, but Walker and Roy are certainly trade bait.

Anderson - Doughty
Bjornfot - Durzi
Maatta - Spence

At this point, as weird as this is to say, re-signing Maatta at a much lower cap hit would be a good depth move.

What a chump.

Great pass, great read, great finish.

Faber is not blessed with world class skill but he’s not without some skill and if he can make the right offensive reads regularly he has a chance to easily play on the 1st pair with an offensive guy. I said it when there were Boeser rumors going around with the Kings but this guy and Quinn Hughes would be the highest hockey IQ pairing in the NHL. One world class offensive IQ guy and one world class defensive one.

And speaking of the finish, Matthew Knies has been incredible for the Gophers in the second half of the season, one of the best players in the country after Christmas. This is a guy I’d love to see the Kings try and target If Toronto loses again and thinks they need defensive help.

The Kings wealth of riches on the blue line is amazing. Especially with all the high picks being used on centers. I think we could see multiple deals this summer to try and fix the broken scoring pipeline.

I do not understand why you are thinking about how well Faber will look with Quinn Hughes.

I am thinking how well Faber will look with Doughty or Clarke.

Faber is a right shot defenseman who plays on the right side. Hopefully his future partner in LA will be Jakob Chychrun.

I mentioned the two because they are two of the highest IQ players I have ever seen at this level of hockey. One as a defensive specialist and one as an offensive one, and the fact that there were LA and Vancouver rumors at the deadline.

Faber could be traded too, at least one of them will be. We need to move some and address other needs, specifically scoring with how bad our young forwards have progressed. Potentially goaltending too.

I know that Faber is RD, but I would like LA try to convert him to LD.

I do not wat Kings to pay HUGE assets for Jakob Chychrun.

Jakob Chychrun is good not great offensively and pretty average defensively.

I believe Kings RD and LD is good enough going forward without Chychrun.

If you tell that Faber can be traded to goalie prospect like Wallstedt or something similar you will have my full support.

I've probably said it 10 times but he is incredible.

Coach said today Faber played 41 minutes out of the 68:31 on Friday.
By the way, this was later proven false. Either a misquote or hyperbole from the coach.

This also makes it easier to deal with the frustration associated with players we've taken in the early rounds that are taking longer to develop. Such great finds in later rounds: Roy, Anderson, Spence.
