Lol so Bouchard is a bust because of a mediocre tournament showing? That team got outworked all around.

Ugh.
I never said that. Poster I was replying to saying Bouchard was penciled into the top pairing for a tournament so he should of been more hyped and I said he didnt do well in the tournament. Never said he was a bust.

Every Canadian dman in the tourney looked mediocre.

Yup. Well, Dobson looked better towards the end but he was looking terrible before the tourney. Guess he’s a bust too. Ty Smith had a decent one too I think? I think we can wait a year or two with Bouchard playing pro before such proclamations are made, no?

Yep we have to remain positive about Bouchard. It’s literally one of the only things us Oiler fans can look forward too.

Hitch was not the long term tonic for the team. He came in and said all the right stuff and talked it up about how he knew what was wrong, and the team went on a bit of a rip.

Now that reality has checked it’s way in, we have a traded Cags staring Hitch down and a pissed off Talbot giving him some choice words after a pull and a Jr Coach in Vivreos on the bench to soothe players after a Hitch berating.

We haven’t the talent to win. To have this dinosaur running players out of town in return for healthy scratches and getting our players heads into the wrong spaces is just chucking gasoline on the fire. He needs to go now before he can do more damage that can’t be undone.

I disagree, he is a dominant dman in junior ie. prospect. And just because he needs time to translate his game to the NHL doesnt mean he is a bust. A RH offensive dman is just what this team needs. And it is Button that continues to beat the drum on Bouchard being a bust. Believe what you want but there are folks out there that love to kick us when we are down.
I mean Bouchards offensive game has fallen off a bit from last year and his team is much much better.

The other offensive defenders in his draft class have taken a step forward and he has taken a step back offensively. Defensively he has looked pretty much the same as last year and his skating doesn't look improved really. He isn't a bad prospect Button never thought so. However other guys have taken steps forward and passed him this year.

Watching Bouchard he plays with zero pace and passion to his game and he’s a marginal skater. He has man size and man strength and dominates against the kiddies in the OHL much like PJ did as a man vs JR players in the WJC. When he played vs men he was exposed in his end big time. Sorry never been a big Bouchard fan and think we f***ed up yet again. I hope I am wrong.

...the Oilers go ahead and play another game.

6 straight losses

3 straight games with a lead going into the 3rd. 3 straight losses.

And a Drake Caggiula goal for the cherry on top

Zykov also playing well in Vegas while on the top line with Marchy and Wild Bill

Lol

Nope didn't say that, please read my I initial comment. I said I didnt care much for Button and because he omitted Bouchard from the top prospect list due his dislike for everything Oiler right now. I did not mention hyping him up, I merely mentioned that imo he was a lock for the first pairing and many had very high regard for him.

Still pumping out good numbers in Junior. We need a PP specialist with a big shot, he appears to have that in spades. It is anyones guess as to how well rounded he becomes as an overall defender. But I was very happy to see both him and Dobson both on the board for our pick. Let's just see how it plays out before writing him off.

Button?

UMM. He's not the only one.

Oilers, Jackets, Bruins, Bolts all don't have 1 player in top31 outside the NHL. Notice the problem ... ??

Turned down free tickets today. I do not regret it. Played the new free battle Royale Apex Legends, pretty good and fast gameplay

Actually, last year he played at a 106 p pace. This year, he played at a 108 p pace until this 4 game point slump. He isn't slumping. He's being wrested for the playoffs.

Cause we’ve seen Kosko play well behind good defence. And Talbot has not. We’ve seen Kosko with the ability to save our hides when our defence is ****, Talbot has not.

Now I don’t know if Kosko is good enough to overcome this trash heap of a team, I really don’t. But what I can guarantee is that his chances of that are better than Talbots because he is better than Talbot.

What absolute fiction. Plus a wrecked narrative. Talbot is the only goalie good enough in the last 13 years to have dragged this club to the playoffs. In total he played 85 games that season and was vezina quality. He was for two periods in this one until the 3rd when the Oilers in front of him pulled the pin on any kind of coverage and let the Hawks play the entire period as if they were on a PP.

I come here and have to read more crap blaming Talbot for this when its the player (that aren't very good) stopped playing.

Since Hitch has been here our 3rd periods are a disaster. He rides the few ponies he has hard all games and they hit the wall by the 3rd. At which point we're left with the cold stark reality of how f***ing dismal this lineup is outside of McDrai.

you sound like an Oilers manager. yeah he sucks put him in the press box. no damn leash whatsoever, let's put Lucic on the top line
Why because I’m not banging a drum around town because a player scored 1 goal? 1 goal! Signing him long term with a NMC clause after his 1 goal would sound like Oiler management.

No, I'm banging the drum because he's playing on the top line on a good Vegas team whereas the Oilers got him for nothing off waivers with their waiver position and didn't try that scenario once, not once but thanks for not seeing the forest for the trees and proving my point.

You are just making an awfully big deal about 1 goal. In both threads you posted “zykov scores a goal blah blah” Manning also has a goal this season you know.
