Line Combos: Jets Projected line up next season

He'd probably play where ever he is asked to play - he doesn't strike me as the type that worries too much about line mates or where he sits in the pecking order.
He does need a center that can drive play - would love to see him tested with Perfetti - that would be very interesting.
After watching a number of Cole highlights, he's very good at finding the open guy around the net - which is where KC hangs out.
I doubt very much that they will move LY's top goal scorer to the third line in an effort to balance the line up - unless Perfetti is centering that line

I don’t understand why anyone would want this. Why do we want Scheifele, Laine, Ehlers and Connor playing 16-18 mins?

Once forwards start getting played at a pace of more than 20 minutes a game, their defense usually starts to suffer. I think this has become a problem with the Scheifele line. A couple of minutes less per game and we get better performance both ways.

Right. So lets say the top line plays 20 mins, 2nd line 18, 3rd line 15, that leaves 7 mins for the 4th line.

Who do you take away from to get the 4th line up to 10 mins? Which of Connor, Ehlers or Laine do you tell that we’re taking two minutes from you to give to Mason Appleton?

If Perfetti is on the 4th it’s a waste. Better to get top minutes elsewhere. Niku does not beat out poolman. I’d break Laine and Connor up.

Sounds like it might be a condensed training camp with possibly zero exhibition games. If that comes to pass it will be o credibly difficult for the younger players to earn spots on the team.

So play him less in 1 & 2nd and more in 3rd. I think you misunderstood me I meant Lowry when we are up and Connor when we are down.
