Sully, I didn't intend to sound so condescending, but now that I've re-read what I wrote it does come off like a lecture - it's just that as all our friends got older and starting having children I heard fathers pretty much say what your said, and inevitably they couldn't stop what was going to happen from happening. The best defense is to educate your kids about sex and protection, be open and have an active role as a parent, no matter how uncomfortable it may feel.

It's just that it's much more difficult for children as young as yours to avoid being sexualized at a much earlier age compared to even a scant decade ago. Kids are bombarded with it, from Bratz dolls, to Miley Cyrus and most other female performers who are responding to the male gaze of society, to sexy lingerie designed for tween-age girls and the instant availability of porn 24/7. As awesome as it is now to be a kid, they've also got to navigate a much more complex social environment.

From what little I know of you, you seem to have your head screwed on right, but I can't really form an opinion as to your parenting skills, so forgive me for sounding pedantic about the issue. The truth is, if you are awesome parents, she'll more than likely end up with a partner that you will approve of, because you'll have done a good job of raising her. It turned out my wife picked the right guy, as my in-laws love me, and so does my wife, some almost 33 years later.

As an aside, congrats on the expected arrival. Personally, I wouldn't trade a single day of having children for anything.

Oh for sure. Education is key. Sorry for snapping its been a rough couple of days.

As for her moving in with some dude...well that will be her choice and at that point it's her life. Not mine. All you can do is love your children nmw. So that's where I stand about it.

At least you don't have to worry about someone getting pregnant.

Good point

And I've posted so many selfies....

Don't worry, I have them all saved on my computer. :naughty: jk buddy.

I think we're all bigger than that. Well, at least I hope so. Honestly, I would hope that everybody here are Allies.

I figured as much. Not too many homophobes around nowadays, even inside the locker room. I do understand how the subject can make some people uncomfortable, just due to lack of exposure if nothing else.

Yeah ya do.

On another note, now the girl is coming up with an idea about the next time we go on a "date/hangout"(that's how she said it:laugh: ).

Anyone on this board know the Macon, GA area at all???

I used to stay in Macon quite a bit. Just remember a really nice Crowne Plaza I used to stay at, partied a couple of times just down the road from it...couple of casual spots. Got drunk with John Rocker one night, just before he got called up to the Braves.

Crazy times

We actually went to a place called Riverside Plaza last time. Had a bunch of stores and a few restaurants/bars.

Excellant season. The entire story arc of the school system and introducing the kids in their 8th grade and following Prez into his teaching I found facinating. There are so many movies over the years that make such a mockery of the innner city schools and over simplify solutions (if we only had a great white teacher :help:). I also REALLY enjoyed the rise of Marlo's gang as they asserted dominance and how he managed his ambitions.....watching him identify Michael as having special skills was really cool. I am a student of success and one things I have learned over the years is great leaders generally have an eye for talent and understand how to maximize it. I loved to see the application of this skill in Marlo with Michael.

Yea the final episode was really well done.

All done now... I feel like I lost a friend lol

I literally just finished season 4 of Breking Bad.....I really enjoyed the character of "Gus"

I noticed NetFlix just added season 5 so I have another season to sink my teeth into!

Gus is one of the greatest characters in television history imo.

I blew through season 5 in a few days. I kept putting on the next episode because I wanted to see what **** went down. What a wonderful show.

Wow you just devoured that Hammer. I really tried to take my time with season 5 because I new I was winding down a relationship but at the end of the day it was so well put together it was impossible to be patient.

I was happy Clark Johnson from Homiside life on the street was introduced in season 5 as the newspaper editor Gus Haynes.

My wife and I just finished season 4 last night.

season 4 was probably my favorite to date due to Gus and to a lesser degree Mike as well who is under rated. I thought the writing for this season was at a different level and the character development of Jesse Pinkman was very interesting.

quirky side note but I get a kick out of how Jesse still calls Walt "Mr. White" even when he is really pissed at him.

SPOILER ALERT: Huff I thought one of the coolest things in the finale episode was right at the end when they showed "the plant" in Walt's back yard. That totally turned that episode on its head.

Agree with everything you said here. Jesse's character (and Walt's), have had very interesting developments over the seasons. Obviously, Bryan Cranston has gotten noticed for his work on this show, but I think the actor playing Jessie has been equal, if not better in a lot of episodes.

The final shot of the plant was a very eerie ending for sure. Interested to see where the show goes next.

I agree that Gus is a great character, and Mike is underrated. I really love Saul though.
