Didn’t someone say if he doesn’t sign an extension by 1/1 in Russia it’s pretty much a lock he’s coming over?

Holmstrom scoring in B2B games. Hopefully the kid is getting more comfortable. I’m pretty sure Ladd was on the ice for both his goals.
For tonight's goal he was, not so sure about yesterday's PP goal! Lorito was on for both and I felt chemistry with him and Holmstrom is building fast...

EDIT: @SI90 You were right, I checked it on goal videos, Ladd was on for both of Simon's goals! ;-)

CT Post article on Otto by Michael Fornabaio with some interesting quotes:

BRIDGEPORT — Four days in the NHL were fun for Otto Koivula, but he didn’t get to play.
The New York Islanders sent him back to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers after their ninth win in a row on Saturday night, returning Koivula to a team that hadn’t won in eight games. Koivula maybe brought some of the winning feeling with him, scoring the first and last Bridgeport goals Sunday at Webster Bank Arena in a 4-3 win over the Lehigh Valley Phantoms.

“Some of my idols are up there, so it’s fun to be with them, practicing,” Koivula said. “But I want to play.”

“It was awesome, an awesome four days to be up there and kind of see what they’re doing, because they’re on a streak. They’re winning every game,” Koivula said. “It’s a good learning experience.”

Holmstrom is moving up the prospect ranking chart for sure.

A very pleasant surprise. NHL size and plus skating ability, seemingly good hockey IQ too. There is a lot to like about him. Skillset-wise, we have no one else really like him in the system. Compared to Vrana on draft night, I would be thrilled if that was the case.

Being an 18 year old in the AHL and showing well could make him an option next year. Attach him to Otto's hip and we could have next year's #3C and #3RW developing some chemistry now.

It looks like a tire fire at BP this season, I was hoping Bellows would have a break out year there. Not happening so far. Still lots of time for him. Hopefully a strong 2nd half. But obviously conditions are not great for him ATM.

honestly doesn’t make sense to me with JHS. You had time to find a trade. Him going so long without playing makes a trade less likely imo. It’s not like Bridgeport can’t use him. So ridiculous.
Nice to see they plan on having Wilde stick out the whole year and start his journey.
