I think Bellows and Holmstrom have the same ceiling really. Different players, but the same ceiling as far as offensive impact is concerned. To me, one is your typical finesse type player and the other is a power forward and we all know powerforwards take longer to develop..i would not count Bellows out. He's still better than MDC was at the same time and look where he is! Our top 6! Also, this is only Bellow's second year in the AHL. He had 19 points last year...so I think he will break out this year and we may see him in an Isles uniform next year as a call up

Never a good sign when you're being compared to MDC.

From Pronmon’a prospect notes:

15. Cole Coskey (RW, New York Islanders) is a very smart player and has some pro attributes. I don’t know if he’s quick enough for the NHL, but if he has a big year, which he should as an overage player in the OHL, he could work his way into a pro contract with the Islanders.

I wouldn't exactly call that a ringing endorsement.

I feel like signing Coreau was just a bad move, even if I understand it as insurance against Soderstrom's health. I'd rather release him at this point.

I hope that Soderstrom and Skarek push him out of the picture soon and take over the reins in Bridgeport by end of the season together.

A neat piece of article on Simon Holmstrom:

So glad Holmstrom is here this season. I know some others on this board disagreed with me on wanting him here but I still believe this is the best thing for his development. Glad to see he is no stranger to hard work.

On Sunday I’m going to the Ottawa 67s-Sarnia Sting game. Is there anyone I should keep an eye out for on either team?

For the upcoming draft Jacob Perrault is an 02 14pt in ten games RW for Sarnia.
Belanger is a LD an O2, Tolnai has plenty of upside just has to get going another 02 C for Ottawa.
