Is Kucherov a clear-cut #2 in the NHL as we're speaking?

Need to see how kucherov will do on a non playoff team.

kichervov is a star who is also surrounded by other stars so it’s hard to see what he’s like on a bad team.

He's injured again so no. Status unclear. Even then, there's at least a few players better than him and a couple of them are actually on his team.

I don’t think so. He’s on an absolute super team.

As impressive as these playoffs have been for him, you could make a strong case he has been Tampa’s 3rd most important player behind Vasy/Point. Hedman has been unreal too.

Recency bias is helping Kucherov right now but just two weeks ago Mackinnon had a similar thread.

You really can't make that case.

Point has a lot of goals, but he was actually better last year. Vasy's been good, but not as good as Kucherov. Hedman is still nursing something.

When healthy, he is probably the second best forward in the league. Right behind Brayden Point.

This just shows that even elite players need a good team surrounding them to be at their best. This isn't basketball.

He is #1 right now as we are speaking since most of the great players are on the golf course. If all the teams were still active he would be somewhere in the top 10

He is a playoff beast thats for sure. I would rather have that than a MCD that produces nothing beyond regular seaasons.

There is a clear-cut #1. There is a group of players int he second tier.

I think his playoff performances put him at the top of that tier though. It's kind of insane how much more he scores than anybody else, even when the series get tougher.
