Question 1:
Are Leafs any good?
HFBoards: No, they are getting elite goaltending.
Question 2:
Is Bernier elite?
HFBoards: Hell no!
Neither of those are remotely true.

Solid and above average but not elite. His career 5v5 sv% is VERY comparable to Halak, Price, Howard, Reimer, Crawford, and Bryzgalov (which should identify for you how Price is not elite either, but that's a whole different can of worms)...
Gives definition of elite goalie. Lists a goalie who doesnt qualify.
He's closer to mediocre than he is to elite.
He is a Leaf, of course he's elite.
He's closer to mediocre than he is to elite.
Elite goalie = top 5, for at least 3 consecutive years.
Currently elite goalies: Lundqvist, Rinne, Rask
Absolutely wrong. He is not elite but he is closer to that than medicore
Your own logic is flaweed and Rinne wasn't close to being elite last year.
He's a Leaf, so that means he's not elite. Everybody knows that the Leafs aren't allowed to have elite players.
To me, to be in the elite, you have to have gone "God mode" in the playoffs. Lundqvist, Quick and Price do that.
Bernier can be considered elite when he has a monstrous showing in the playoffs.
Well according to Leaf fans Gardiner = future Norris trophy winner, Tyler Bozak = Tavares, Reimer = Optimus Reim top 10 goaltender, Kessel >>> Kane etc etc

Just as all Canucks fans think President's Trophy = Stanley Cup Kassian = Next Lucic Luongo = Elite goalie Schneider = elite goalie Lack = elite goalie Miller = elite goalie
Neither of those are remotely true.
uhhh no lol
reimer is better than he is
