hahaha awesome lol

blues offer perron (50% retained) + for Marner and Polak

1. Perron scored 18 goals this year, JVR scored 29.
2. Perron got 46 points this year, JVR got 62
3. Marner > Drouin
4. I meant a hefty plus

I also thought JVR had 2 years left, but only has one. I think a 30/30 player making 2.125 a year for 2 years is ridiculously valuable

Ehlers is better than Marner and Ehlers isn't as good as Drouin...yet.

Worst Case, Ontario
The reaction trades are almost always more more severe haha but I think the idea was that JVR with one year left is not going to return an elite young player like Drouin.

Garrison's contract isn't great but can be unloaded for a lot less than Drouin.

Garrison’s salary next year is $2.5. For a team with some cap space, if they can get him for free or an added pick, it’s a good deal. You're correct, he will not be so hard to move that Drouin would be involved.

I love this, JVR is such a proven 30-30 guy he only needed to do it once.... maybe he had a careeryear and not the norm maybe?

And second part, Tampa wants a d-man and you offer an older and worse player then Drouin.. you want him, offer up Reilly and Tampa can do a desl around him....

as much as value wise its a wash, i doubt carolina would trade hanifin, specialy for a winger, doesnt make sense for them

We have qoutes from Bill Peters, saying he wants a skilled winger like Drouin. Who knows Canes need best, you or Bill Peters?????

What's great about this is you thought that the argument that jvr isn't a 30/30 guy when he's pretty much been exactly that for 4 years straight holds merit. Or are you really going to sit there and act like a 27 and 29 goal season(s) isn't good enough? It's laughable at how many posters will pretend he's not going to give you around 30/30 every year because they're fixated on a year where he was a few short and another where he was one short. He's averaged 60.05 points over the last four years. I put the .05 part in just because it shows how he literally averages that. But sure, "career year". Lets start calling him a 27/29 guy. That way lazy posters who intentionally omit the fact that he had a year of 29 and 27. I'm sure you'd find some other lazy argument to throw around though.

Any chance Tampa would trade Drouin for a top 3 pick in this years draft?
