They had more points and won the regular season matchup last year too. Didn't mean anything in the playoffs.

One game has different rules from another. And playoffs have different rules from the regular season, which has difference in calls at the beginning and closing in on the playoffs. What’s hot about that?

Caps got 14(15?) of their shots and several extended shifts because Tampa was on the PK 6 times.

Whistles go away, Tampa isn't on the PK for looking at the Caps and they aren't defending all game.

We can measure sticks all we want, but don't make up hypothetical situations without realizing it goes two ways.

Oh i'm aware. But this Tampa team is playing much better then last year. New defensive systems and coaching changes have done wonders.

Right, this game is a PERFECT example of that. Washington still fighting for a division title. Lightning with ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to play for. It was not a night off for our boys, they clocked in and went to work. This year's team is very much different from last year's.
