At min wage , you can burry him in the minors at no cost though. if not one picks him upThat only works if someone else picks him up, though.

Lovely. If Habs just needed a body to put in a uniform to field a 23 man roster, is there not a big mean knucklehead out there they could have grabbed? What's the fascination every single management team has with soft, useless players?Think of a poor man's Christian Dvorak
In terms of cap hit, yes. At min wage , you can burry him in the minors at no cost though. if not one picks him up
how does it work if he bought out though? at min wage, have no clue to be honestIn terms of cap hit, yes.
In terms of 50 contract limit, burying him does nothing.
Buyouts can only occur at specific moments in the year, essentially over the summer, and college UFAs want to sign in the Spring, so his contract will still be on the books then.how does it work if he bought out though? at min wage, have no clue to be honest
thanksIf we just want a warm body, isn't there someone out there willing to flip Byron's contract for that of a healthy-but-useless skater ?

And given how we're rebuilding, college UFAs who don't want to be stuck behind a stacked roster should see the Habs as being of interest, other than on D where we do have a lot of young NHLers and highend prospects.
Tierney was the only center waived yesterday (the other two were wingers) and Habs were starting to run out of center depth on NHL contracts with all the injuries.Lovely. Habs had Drouin play center, so who really cares if the guy's really a true center or notTierney was the only center waived yesterday (the other two were wingers) and Habs were starting to run out of center depth on NHL contracts with all the injuries.
He cost nothing, his UFA at the end of the season and will fill-in for an injured center and then maybe a traded center if Drouin - who is currently playing center -, Monahan or Dvorak gets traded before the deadline.
Also, he's not great, so he helps the tank.
Damn! Wasn’t Dvorak supposed to be a poor man’s Phillip Danault? This guy must the homeless versionThink of a poor man's Christian Dvorak
Probably not for free.Lovely. If Habs just needed a body to put in a uniform to field a 23 man roster, is there not a big mean knucklehead out there they could have grabbed?
We're tanking and have a billion injuries so they claimed a guy to play 10 minutes a night as the 4C for a few weeks. Who cares. He's 6'1 he's not some smurf either. What's the fascination every single management team has with soft, useless players?
My point exactly. You can't be a poor man's Dvorak. You're either Dvorak or you are nothing.
He plays soft.Watched him in Jr with London.Probably not for free.

Since fighting is such a useless thing in the NHL, and having someone who is able to skate and actually play hockey is obviously a huge upgrade over a goon.Lovely. Habs need Michael Therrien back. Nobody would dare to play soff.He plays soft
"Complaining about this waiver pickup is ridiculous."Since fighting is such a useless thing in the NHL, and having someone who is able to skate and actually play hockey is obviously a huge upgrade over a goon.

If it is a nothing move… then why did Hughes make it?Complaining about this waiver pickup is ridiculous.
Nobody would dare to play They would just put da puck to da net.Habs need Michael Therrien back. Nobody would dare to play soff.
That would make sense but now the Habs have $750K less in cap space to play with at the deadline so maybe a Habs move or 2 coming soon here to move other salary out.We will probably need bodies after the deadline.
To each their own
Could have had Gauthier,a Franco for about the same .
Gauthier played well with Sens in his first game .
There is that. Topic du jour. Something to pass time.Well then... alright. At least there's something happening
