I'm not worried about them offering a contract, but him agreeing to sign here instead of choosing his team via UFA is another thing.

Guerin will offer him an ATO, McBain will want to burn a year off the contract by signing an ELC, Guerin will refuse, McBain will sign with St. Louis.

We've got one of his old linemates on the team and one of his current linemates in the system, with Warren in there for good measure. That plus the organizational need for a big center with some upside make me think we'd be in good shape to sign him even if we hadn't drafted him.

On top of which, Guerin is a BC alumni, and has to still have contacts in the program. Sure could use a big Center with hands.

Then you had guys like Mario Lucia, Brett Bulmer who were seen as depth guys. The top talent was pretty special though.

Boldy is a better prospect than Coyle EVER was, and it's not close.

If I was to do a comparison in regards to hype/expectations/whatever, I'd have it:

Rossi ~ Granlund
Boldy > Coyle
Beckman ~ Zucker
Addison < Dumba
Lambos ~ Brodin (maybe an ever-so-slight edge to Brodin depending on if you bought into offensive upside and by how much)
Wallstedt > any of the goalies
