The REAL interesting thing is the Gov stepped in, basically to stop hedge funds from losing money. The past two days they've halted trading on GME (and now AMC) because of "market volatility".

To be fair, it is volatile as hell right now. That part doesn't concern me. What does concern me is when these Hedge Funds start appealing for bailouts from the Government to recoop their loses when they were playing in the Casino long before any of these people showed up. They knew the risks better than anyone. But, it'll be 2008 again. They'll get bailed out by US Taxpayers and still live in their lavish homes.

Well Citadel's apps they own (RobinHood and a few others) all halted Put options today. Can only sell. So, this will get fun because now we really do have market manipulation going on. They are preventing individuals from doing it, when those companies hold no fiduciary responsibility to do so.
My co-worker/friend just got a message from Robinhood stating they sold all his shares. He did not request a sell. I'm 95% that's illegal.

The only way I think they could get around this legally is somehow they put in fine print that Robinhood owns the shares and by "buying" them, you're renting them from Robinhood. Not even sure the legality of that either.

Anyone have any experience on an Indian Challenger? Can't get it out of my head lately, may need to rent one to try it out when I get home. Love my Bonneville, but also love the idea of having a bagger for the long haul. Two bikes are better than one, right?

Decided to get back into golf this year. Haven’t played with any sort of regularity since high school. So we’ll see how it goes.

Nice setup! Golf clubs look so good when they're brand new :)

I love the look of that new SIM driver, I just got the Mavrik last year so I'll have to win some pro shop money this summer in order to justify getting anything else

With the weather we've had and coming up it's definitely got me thinking more and more about golf coming up soon. Hopefully we're able to play sometime this month. Have my membership locked in at Cannon Falls again this year and couple friends and I joined Inverwood through a special they had running (really cheap). Hoping to get close to my ~100 rounds or so that I put in last year :)

Nice. I grew up playing Inverwood.

Now I’m sandwiched between the Wild’s, Legends, and Cleary so I’ll spend a lot of time at each I think.

I live in IGH, and I also picked up the three-year special they were running at Inver Wood. I'm definitely going to try to get out more next year, even if it's just 9 holes after work.

Normally, I probably play around 25-30 rounds per year, so nothing crazy. I am pretty inconsistent, and it's maddening. I always say that golf is my favorite sport... and my least favorite.

I actually got three rounds in last week down in Vegas. I sucked, but at least it was nice to get outside.

I've played down at the Summit once or twice a year in Cannon Falls, but I've never played the other course there.

Definitely know that feeling. I've been getting better the last couple years, but still want to improve a little bit more if I can. I don't have the exact #'s but I want to say I started off the year in 2019 at around a 17 handicap or so and there was a point last summer where I was playing to a ~7.5. I think I'm back more around a 10 index now which is probably more accurate so goal is to be a solid consistent single digit this year.

I like the Summit okay...I'm obviously pretty biased but I like the Cannon Golf Club a lot more. I like those Prior Lake golf courses a lot too, if money wasn't an issue I would play a lot more at The Legends. I like The Wilds a lot too, we typically try to play there a couple times a year when the rate goes down. I've played at the Meadows at Mystic twice I think and for some reason I just do not like that course at all. Everything about it is nice and fancy and all that but in terms of the golf itself I don't care much for the course. Part of that is probably that I played so poorly there

I think I'm probably in the 18-20 handicap range. I shot a legit 80 once last year (my PB), but I'm very capable of hitting 100-105 as well. Average is low to mid 90s, but my range of outcomes is just so huge.

I have the movie "Youngblood" playing on the television while I'm working. I haven't seen it in decades, and I've forgotten just how laughably cheesy it is.

The fact that this seemingly keeps happening makes me worry that it will/is turning into a self feeding cycle.

Person pulled over worries if police will shoot them due to all the shooting and acts nervous.
Police officer approaching worries does this person want to shoot me because of all the police shootings and is nervous.

Tough to break that cycle.

While a concern, I don't think it's as prevalent as you think. The sentence before that, definitely.

How can you accidentally pull your gun, instead of your taser, aim it at the person for 5 seconds and not realize it's your gun and not your taser? They look different, feel different. The only commonality is that they have a trigger and shoot. If I'm not mistaken the tasers are f*cking yellow.

There are several key differences that make Tasers look and feel different from guns.
Tasers are typically lighter and have a different grip and feel, former Taser vice president Steve Tuttle said in 2015.
And when you take the safety off on a Taser, an LED control panel lights up.
Tasers have a different type of holster than a gun, and many have at least some bright yellow on the device.

And way f***ing lighter, too.
