Ive made it clear for the last 2-3 years that Wennberg should be a 3C if we are a good team, and if we are going to play him as a 2C we might as well trade him.
Dubinsky, Jenner, and Nash already occupy those 3C and 4C spots.

Only losers make excuses. Our goal was lucky too.
It isn't an excuse. Sometimes the bounces don't go your way.

You can't just will the puck to go into their net and stay out of yours.

What you want is completely unreasonable.

The team is looking at things from a larger perspective. If you play like they did tonight, you will have success in the long run.

Not if he's truly as horrible as you assert he is. And trades aren't nearly as easy as you seem to assume in any case.
Hon, that’s what I like to call a Ad Hominem Fallacy!!

You know damn well that I said he is a 3C, and 3Cs can be packaged for better players. Anisimov is a good example.

He has to play somewhere.

They shouldn't break up the top line. And he doesn't fit on the Jenner-Anderson line or the 4th line with Nash and Hannikainen.

That leaves him with Wennberg.

He is the 3C, you know that right? Tonight Wennberg actually had fewer minutes than Riley Nash, not quite 10 minutes at evens. If you want us to add a top-six center than you can call for that, it's not the same as complaining about Wennberg. And either way it's panicky to stress personnel after a bad luck game.

Anisimov was traded for a winger. Not a better center. If you look carefully, you might notice that trading a lesser center for a better one is shockingly rare. Because, y'know, high quality centers are valuable.

Ok now you're just whining.
No the team has been horrible this month, especially at home. Foligno and others say the expectations for this team are much higher than where they used to be. Well wouldn’t you expect to win after laying an egg vs Washington and losing the game previously? We switched our coaches, had longer team meeting and video sessions but at the end of the day... We Need Reaults. Look at the standings, it’s time to nut up.

I would expect them to play harder and better. Which they did.

Again, so much of whether or not you win on any given night comes down to luck.

All they can do is control play and out chance their opponent. If you do that over enough games, you will be in a good position.

Sorry they lost tonight but that's just the nature of the game.

Exactly.

And you can't beat yourself up over things that you don't control. "Excuses are for losers" is a dumb cliche. It pushes people away from a professional mindset (relentless focus on what you control).

Turned on Jets vs HAwks game. Man what an incredible contrast with game that just ended. Skill, speed, passing game, competent PP, smart offence. Team had the same time as Jackets to build a contender.

We're 1-4 in December and 0-3 at home in December. It's not just tonight! Wake up!!!

5 games is nothing in the long season, and those performances are not all the same. Personnel moves make sense sometimes when you've got a team that is consistently unable to play the right way. The only question to ask is did they play the right way.

It's like goaltending. You can't reduce the odds that the puck will go into the net to 0. So what you do is position yourself so you maximize the odds that you make the save. Then you hope it hits you.
