If he re-signed for like 6m x 5 after getting traded for that absolute haul of players and picks, I would probably just laugh. I'd find it hard to be mad. It won't happen, and it's better if they keep getting better without him.

Can you imagine if everything would have been an evil plan from the start? They trade him for a haul that will help the team to get to the next step and then sign him as an UFA 2 years later when the Cup run window opens.

I know he was made the bad guy who requested a trade but I honestly think he deserved a video. Much lesser players got video tributes, he was the face of the franchise for many years.

Anyone got a clip of the Smith injury? Sounded pretty bad but I couldn't find it anywhere. Dutchy is a class act imo, I love that guy and wish him nothing but the best. I would be happy as heck to resign him as our #2C. A clip of the tribute video would be nice too.
