So a day-fine is worth 1/60 of the person's monthly net income. You earn a lot, you pay a lot, that much is correct. Opting for jail time like Teemu claims he did is not possible to start with, instead his bank assets or if that's not possible alternatively some of his luxury items could be seized should he fail to pay.

The only theoretical way he might manage to land in jail is if he avoids having any assets or property seized for a prolonged period of time, but even then he would not have a criminal record which is the reason he claims he chose to pay after all.

There's no record of him having ever been fined such amount for speeding anyway, in 1993 he received a fine of around 1800 USD. In 2000 he received a high fine for another traffic violation, but it was for him driving over the Vice President of the IIHF rather than speeding.

Stefan Noesen has 11+3 in 11 games in the AHL. He currently leads the league in goals and is in third place in points. Pontus Åberg is 7th in total points with 7+5 in 10 and Mike Sgarbossa is 13th with 5+6. To my understanding Noesen only has an AHL deal so it will be interesting to see if some team gives him a contract.

No idea how his whole game was but he looked dangerous in the highlights and his top speed is better than it has been in years. He’s made his way down the depth chart though so I doubt he’s playing too well.

500 goals is Perry’s ticket to the Hall of Fame.

At this rate he might not even make it to 400.
5-6 years ago he had a chance at the HOF but no way he gets in now

he's gonna be a very rare example of a guy who won the hart and didn't get into the HOF. jose theodore is the other one in somewhat recent memory

He won the Hart and Rocket has two 1st NHL All-Star Team and is a member of the triple gold club someone with all that not being a Hall of Famer will be seem strange. I wish injuries didn't hurt him so much causing such a big decline.

i wouldn't put all the blame on injuries

he was always slow and all that mileage in his legs finally caught up to him 3-4 years ago. his decline was very similar to dany heatley's

guy who was always slow just got slower and unable to keep up with a game that gets faster and faster each season. like heatley, perry still has great hands but is just too slow to do anything with them

His career stats are remarkably close Heatley's as well. Heatley's absolute peak probably lasted a bit longer (and was better) but Perry seemed to spend a longer amount of time as a legit first liner. Heater also played in the eastern conference during his peak when it was weaker and more offensive minded than the west.
