Thoughts... the Bruins are certainly capable of playing at a higer level, and in fact they have in stretches. Game 4 saw them pull some dominant shifts where they just couldn't buy a goal. Yes, Vasilevskiy has been very good. But I think Tampa's D is over-rated after their top pairing. The issue to me is that the B's get some momentum, then another goal goes in off a defenseman, or Halak once again can't seem to open his damn glove for a shot... basically, right at his glove (watch the replays on all of the 7-hole goals, and you'll see Halak's glove firmly closed).... momentum killed. Game 4 included stupid penalties... okay, at least Cliffy makes up for his stupid, Ritchie is a bum. The Bruins aren't out-classed in any way by Tampa, but they're being outplayed -- especially in two key areas: finishing their scoring chances, and getting a key save in big moments.
As for Chara, who do your rank above him on the current extended roster? Moore? Lauzon? Zboril? I know Krug is an offensive plus, but do you really think he's better defensively? Used the right way, Chara is still in the top 6.
