I'd suggest Niskanen at 87ovr like I did with Stastny, I forgot to raise Nisk is my updated rosters...

Same, but there were things I missed. I didn't put John Scott on SJS like WOAT roster now.

End of season report
Year Six

Inconsistency hinders Ducks expectations

NHL14PS3_4_JPEG_SCREENSHOT_hNF.jpg

Ducks Forward William Nylander won the Maurice Richard and Art Ross trophy again, scoring 49 goals and 87 points this year.

The Ducks started out the season 11-2-1 but then it happend, the inconsistency kicked in; and for the rest of the season Anaheim was on the pattern of "win one, lose one", nobody really knew why this was happening but people and the team themselves were frustrated over it.

The Ducks should be a much better team for what there record or standing shows, with the line-up the Ducks have up and down the roster they should be easily winning the Presidents' Trophy.

The Ducks finished with a 45-27-10 record (100 pts). 1st in the Pacific Division, 4th in the Western Conference and 6th in the League.

The NHL Entry Draft

The Stanley Cup Champions, London Rockstars don't have a 1st Round Pick, since they traded the 30th Overall Pick to the Nashville Predators, who then traded London's 1st Rounder to Florida. New Jersey gets the 1st Overall pick 2 years in a row after making a past trade with the Minnesota Wild for the eventual 1st Overall Pick.

There was only one trade during the Draft between Toronto and Pittsburgh.

To Toronto: Paul Martin
To Pittsburgh: James Reimer and Cameron Darcy

Round One Playoff Recap

Ducks eliminate Predators in high scoring series

450972593_slide.jpg

After a mediocre season Captain Ryan Getzlaf
lead the Ducks in the Round One Playoffs with 12 points!

It was a very high-scoring season with a consistent GAA of 4 being allowed combined each game, while three games had 7 goals combined. In what most people thought would be a Defensive series with the Predators they usually surprise and can score just fine. So much so they had the Ducks on there heels and Ducks fans cringing at the site of the Ducks season ending in a short time, but the Ducks prevailed!

Captain Ryan Getzlaf came up big and lead the team with 12 pts in the series, while Forward William Nylander put up 9 pts, and 4 goals; while the 3rd part of that top line Corey Perry put up 8 pts. Goalie John Gibson finished with a 4-2-1 record, along with a 2.73 GAA, and .905 SV%.

Series Scoring Summary:

Game #1: 3-2 W
Game #2: 3-1 W

Game #3: 3-4 L
Game #4: 3-1 W
Game #5: 1-4 L
Game #5: 3-4 L

Game #7: 5-2 W

I really want to do a team that is hard to win with, but I can't think of any... :dunno:

So if anyone knows a team that's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to win with, I'd like to give it the ole college try. :thumbu:

Anaheim.

No just joking. (and I hope I didn't just jinx myself)

I've never myself seen Boston win the Cup (in this game), lol.

I think I'm going to stop my Flyers GM mode. I'm going to fix some of the player and prospect ratings and I'll start a new one with a different team. What team should I do?

Washington Capitals: Hungry for Success

timthumb.php

Coach Barry Trotz(on the right) is beginning his first season as the Capitals head coach.

The 2013-2014 season is underway for the Washington Capitals and officials from the team think that it could be their year. Barry Trotz is at the helm and hopes to get star winger Alexander Ovechkin back to his dominant form. Barry Trotz is looking to bring his defensive system to the Washinton Capitals. New additions of defenseman Matt Niskanen and Brooks Orpik will hopefully sturdy their blue line.

After the pre-season, the Capitals headed to Chicago to take on the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. The Capitals hope to be in the same situation, raising the Stanley Cup Champion banner, at the end of this season.

The first game didn't turn out the way that Washington had pictured it. Coach Barry Trotz might have a meeting about discipline following the game. Six different players took penalties leading to the Blackhawks scoring four goals, including the game-winning goal off the stick of newcomer Brad Richards. However Washington's captain, Alex Ovechkin, did account for three points (2G and 1A) in their 5-4 OT loss.

Washington Capitals Lineup:
A. Ovechkin (94) - N. Backstrom (87) - M. Johansson (83)
T. Brouwer (82) - B. Laich (83) - E. Kuznetsov (80)
D. Penner (81) - J. Chimera (80) - J. Ward (82)
T. Wilson (77) - J. Beagle (76) - E. Fehr (79)

M. Green (85) - J. Carlson (86)
K. Alzner (85) - M. Niskanen (84)
B. Orpik (83) - J. Hillen (79)

B. Holtby (83)
J. Peters (78)

Moving forward I am looking to acquire a top line power forward to play with Ovechkin and Backstrom as well as a higher rated goalie.

Change In Boston!

After falling to the Hawks the year prior, changes needed to be made in Beantown.
So, the Bruins fired Peter Chiareli as GM and replaced him with Gamo1992.

"We've got a talented squad here in Boston, but it's my job to evaluate the roster, and make moves to ensure we can win now. Which is why I have 2 trades to announce."

:bruins
C Ryan Johansen(84 PLY 4.5 Gold)
:cbj
C Chris Kelly(81 GRN)
D Joe Morrow(71 DFD 4 Gold)
2016 3rd(BOS)
2018 2nd(BOS)

"I made this move to free up some cap space. Kelly, while a great guy and good depth player, just had a horrid contract that had to go. We get younger, and more of a two-way offensive punch with Johansen."

And then, the REAL big shocker of the day.

:hawks
RW Loui Erikson(85 SNP)
G Malcolm Subban(72 HYB 4.5 Gold)
3 4th's(BOS)
:bruins
RW Patrick Kane(91 SNP 4.5 Gold)
G Jason Labarbera(80 HYB)

"There's not much to say. We get a dynamic point producing forward. Sure, it stings giving up a legit goaltending prospect is Subban, but we have Tukka(Rask) and he's just only entering the prime of his career.

Minor trade:
:ducks
2 nothing prospects
future 3rd
:bruins
LW Daniel Winnik

Season Opening Line-up:
Lucic(87 PWF 4.5 Gold) - Bergeron(92 TWF) - Kane(91 SNP 4.5 Gold)
Marchand(86 TWF 4 Gold) - Krejci(88 PLY) - Smith(81 SNP 3.5 Green)
Winnik(80 TWF) - Johansen(84 PLY 4.5 Gold) - Paille(79 TWF)
Fraser(74 PWF 3 Gold) - Campbell(78 GRN) - Caron(76 PWF 3.5 Gold)

Chara(97 DFD) - Seidenberg(87 DFD)
Hamilton(83 TWD 4.5 Gold) - Boychuk(85 DFD)
Krug(79 OFD 3.5 Gold) - McQuaid(82 DFD)

Well my St. Louis file got corrupted or something, so I guess I'll start a new one. Team had 15 wins in the first 20 or 21 games. :shakehead

I will start from the 2016 draft (again), choosing from one of eight teams. You decide, America!

Boston Bruins
Chicago Blackhawks
New Jersey Devils (this team is REALLY bad)
New York Rangers
(B!t€h)burgh Penguins
San Jose Sharks
Vancouver Canucks
Washington Capitals

I'm personally leaning towards the Rangers, as they only have about 2-4 years (depending on when Lundqvist retires) left to do anything meaningful, while having one of the weakest prospects pools - I'm talking 2006-2009 Toronto Maple Leafs weak.

2013-2014

Trade Deadline

At the trade deadline, the Oilers find themselves with a record of 31-24-8. This puts them in 8th spot. Landy92 is still questioning if they can keep it up and make it into the playoffs. However since they are in a playoff spot, they will be buyers at the deadline.

A depth defencemen and a couple of depth forwards could help them reach the playoffs for the first time since 05-06.

Currently, Taylor Hall leads the league with 34 goals. Eberle has a solid 41 assists which puts him in 8th for most assist in the league. The trio of Hall, Eberle, and the Nuge have found chemistry again.

To :edmonton

Marek Zidlicky (80)

To :devils

Matt Fraser (79)
5th around Pick (2014)

Unfortunately, this was the only deal the Oilers could make. Zidlicky will be used as a third pairing defencemen. He's great offensively and will also add veteran presence for the young guns. Zidlicky is on the last year of his contract.
