Who else.

They always find a way with some goalie, doesn't matter who it is; lol.

Currently Calgary in my GM Mode got some 85 Overall goalie, Josh Harding (who they signed in the 2016 offseason) as their backup, Jonas Hiller in the AHL (Who also led them to the WCF in year 3), and Rick DiPietro, who is also in the AHL.

Vancouver is another one of those teams also, why do they have almost $20 million tied up into 4 goalies?

Glen Sather at his last press conference as Rangers GM

Longtime General Manger of the New York Rangers Glen Sather steps down as GM after a successful regular season, in which they won 50 games. Unfortunately a first round exit to the Detroit Red Wings was enough for Mr. Sather to call it quits. [Glen] Sather explains as the main reason for his decision being,
I'm too old for this $h!t.

Who will replace Sather as the new GM? Newfinator will be the man. Newfinator has spent the last three years as assistant GM for the aforementioned Red Wings.

I look forward to working within this storied franchise. We have a speedy, experienced forward group, one of the best defence pairings in the league, and arguable the best goalie in the world. I expect another strong year, with a better ending.

Newfinator has little time to get to know everyone before the NHL draft, as it's just a week away.

Hahaha.

Harding's a respectable backup, while Hiller's good. The Dip should still not be in this game, lol. I made him like 50ovr a long time ago, lol.

Labarbera actually stayed at 85 ovr...wtf lol

Round Two Playoff Recap

Ducks make short work of Oilers, beat them in 5

482122143_slide.jpg

Forward Corey Perry after scoring a goal on the Oilers, he works so well with this line-mates and it shows.

It was a convincing Round Two victory for the Anaheim Ducks, after winning a close Round One against the Nashville Predators. The Ducks depth really shone in this series, as several players provided offence including two Overtime Game-Winners from the back-end Defensive core!

Captain Ryan Getzlaf continues to lead the Ducks in scoring with 16 pts (4a, 12a) in 12gp, while both Corey Perry and William Nylander have 12 pts themselves. Tyler Ennis has 10 pts, while Aleksi Saarela and Emerson Etem each have 7.

Cam Fowler leads on Defence with 6 pts, while Top Pairing Defenceman Sami Vatanen is struggling with 0 points through these Playoffs, in fact he's the only player without a single point. Goalie John Gibson now has a 8-3-1 record, along with a 2.36 GAA, .918 SV% and two shutouts.

Series Scoring Summary:

Game #1: 1-0 W (Julius Honka OT2 GWG)
Game #2: 2-1 W

Game #4: 4-0 W
Game #5: 4-3 W (Matthew Carle OT GWG)

The Oilers began their post deadline stretch to the playoffs with a 7-1-0 record. Scrivy is dominant in nets. He's only allowed 9 goals in those 8 games. With a record of 38-25-8, the Oilers are that much closer to clinching a playoff birth.

What a regular season for Edmonton. Under their first regular season with Landy92 as their GM, they end the year off with a record of 44-28-10. With 98 points in total, they clinch third in the west. They will face the San Jose Sharks in the first round of the playoffs.

Landy92 is expecting a lot from the top line. They will have to carry the team on offense. Many of the Oilers will be making their playoff debuts. The veterans will have to play a huge role if Edmonton wants to make a run for the cup.

So... Minnesota got a 64 Overall goalie as their starter for the season.

--------------------------
Sept. 13, 2017
@RockstarsNHL D Zach Bogosian has been put on the Trade Block, reason because #Rockstars has too many D-Man and want to save some cap. Not paying someone who injury prone, bottom 6 D-Man and has a $5.1 million dollar cap hit for the next 3 seasons.

Also I'll continue Tampa Bay tomorrow, my controller died and I need to buy new batteries tomorrow. I should continue the team that won a cup almost 5 years earlier than someone else here (Not saying any names :sarcasm:)

New GM Newfinator made three trades at the draft. The third was a swap of 5 picks (3rd x 2, 4th, 5th, 6th) to the Devils for 4 picks (3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th). The 62nd pick overall being the best asset moved.

We wanted to make sure we got the player we were looking at, and we felt it was a fair price to move up. The [Paul] Martin acquisition was made because of the departure of [Kevin] Klein earlier. We gave up a good prospect, but we are in the mindset of winning now.

I think I'm going to stop my Flyers GM mode. I'm going to fix some of the player and prospect ratings and I'll start a new one with a different team. What team should I do?
New Jersey.
Hoping to pick up NHL 09 or NHL 2K8 tomorrow.

What team should I do first?

:pens

A.) When I played 2k8 (as a Pens fan) I could recreate the All Star team in the mode.

B.) It would be cool to compare how NHL 14 works compared to them. Are you gonna update any rosters? No, I imagine.

The Lightning head into their title defense season with a grand mix of veterans, players in their prime and dominant young guns.
