Cousins.....kind of a c**t
He's either going to wait until someone comes up with the 6 mil per that he thinks he worth...and in any other year/circumstance he might be worth it...or he's going to wait until a team with the most cap space, that has the ability to possibly contend(Columbus, Florida, and Nashville), comes closest to the number he's looking for.....he's not going to get it.
He may possibly sign with one of those "possible contenders" mid-year if it looks like he might give them an edge on the PP that tips the scale in the newly realigned divisions....odd how the 3 teams I mentioned are all in that "newly realigned division", isn't it?
Or he'll wait until next year, and still won't get what he REALLY wants, but he'll get more than what he would get this coming year.
He's 31 and knows he MAYBE has 2-3 more years to cash in, then he'll be relegated to a "specialists" role on the PP, which might make him some scratch until he's 35, but then he'll be done.
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that he'll either decide he wants to play hockey and win now for less, or decide he wants to make the most money possible.
His options are SEVERELY limited either way, and will be for the foreseeable future. The way I see it, your either a Hockey Player, or an opportunist. If your a Hockey Player, then you have options, if your an opportunist, then you have been painted into a corner by Covid, and you better decide what's going to dictate your future while you still can, eh?
