Chiarelli could have offered more.

He’s there to watch Sam Bennett
I hope so.

Neither is Sam Bennett.People proposing Spooner back to Boston are crazy, especially those saying he'll play center. Spooner is not an NHL center, nor will he ever be. He has his shot in Boston and they've moved on, and he's done nothing to prove he's changed his game.
I don’t think this is good for Boston. Is this good Wally? I’m not feeling it.

He tried to pressure the bruins into a trade with a threat of an offer sheet and it backfired on himChia's offer was better than Calgary's as is. But GMs can do whatever they want, so whatever.
Sweeney chose the worse offer due to some combination of spite and/or hard negotiation tactics. Either way, he took the worse of 2 deals on the table which isn't a good thing for the Bruins.

Who did?
from Sportsnet in 2015Sweeney was concerned that Hamilton, who is scheduled to be a restricted free agent on July 1, would have gotten a large offer sheet from another club that the Bruins wouldn’t have been able to match. Instead, Boston preferred to trade him for a package of draft picks that was better than the compensation on an offer sheet would have been.
What was the Edmonton offer.Chia's offer was better than Calgary's as is. But GMs can do whatever they want, so whatever.

Good jobSame picks as Calgary offered but our picks would have had the Bruins picking higher in the rounds if I remember correctly

f*** noSpooner + Nurse for Krug + Bjork/Donato/other young winger was my guess.
It isn't equal value if you know the picks you get in one deal are higher. It's been proven the offers were, at worst, equal value. It wasn't to spite Chiarelli personally.

Spooner is not returning.
If Krug is moved it has to be more than RNH coming back.
