It's tough to view this team as having a fourth line. The game is getting to the point where checking lines are going the way of the stay at home defensemen, if they haven't already. I see it as a good thing, shaving off excess minutes for your scorers and running a balanced team, built around offense instead of defense this time.
You can argue about management's philosophy in building the roster, but it's clear that they want to hang onto the puck like an even more modern Blackhawks. It's those moments where they don't have the puck where you've got to worry. Containing those mini-catastrophes will be what makes or breaks this season.
This roster is really an experiment in putting creativity, skill and skating above everything else. It could blow up in a big way.
