And... not so good...

Explains why JQ is back, I suppose.

Missing the game after 3 days off says that whatever Hall has is a bit of a concern.

Also may explain why he has not been quite the dynamo he was last year.

I think Kinkaid could be available, but we haven’t seen goalies traded for in a while at the deadline.

The Sharks traded for Reimer a few years back at the deadline because Alex Stalock was a liability all year long and they couldn’t play Jones 75 games. So maybe a team that has a backup on par with that right now (can’t think of anyone other than us that fits that description:sarcasm:) would want him.

Ryan Miller went to St. Louis 5 years ago but that was because they didn’t even have a starter there at all.
Ben Bishop.

But I doubt Kink will be traded.

With the season the way it is, there is no reason for Hall to rush himself back nor the team to rush him back, even when he and the training/coaching staff feel he is good to get back, sit him another couple of games after that.

This is easy to say in hindsight, however if he was close to 100%, but not fully there when coming back after missing those 2 games recently, why even bother having him come back for a handful of games leading into a break?

Dunnonif already discussed here but the KHL club Avangard Omsk acquired Vatanen's rights. Mostly just related to potential lock-out.

That’s right. How could I forget? The Kings traded for him while Quick was healthy, so they didn’t have to overplay him and they missed the playoffs anyway.

That was when Dean was in f*** it mode right before he got fired.

This lower body injury could explain why he hasn't looked as swift out on the ice for just about all of the season. What is impressive though, is that his production is still as good as we could ask for, which makes you wonder had he looked and felt himself for this season to date, what more damage he would be capable of on the ice.

What I expect to get..
Johansson 2nd. Lost value due to injuries but if we retain salary and a team like Washington takes him a second isn't out of the question. Or an above average prospect.
Boyle -4th. I would like a third, but it depnds on the demand for him at the deadline. He may bring a third.
Stafford-stays with team as he isn't even worth a 7th.
Lovejoy-I can see someone overpaying for this bag of garbage. I'd be happy with a 5th, but we might get a 3rd if lucky.
There really isn't much more to sell after that. If a team without a reliable backup loses a goalie to an injury then get rid of him for a 1st or 2nd prospects and try to resign him next year.
If he only brings in a 3rd then say forget it and try to re-sign him for fair value.

I think the Devils season is over, what do you think Boyle will get at the deadline?
I'm thinking he's going to be very sought after by a lot of teams. He's a leader, is versatile and is having a good season. His contract is cheap and he's a rental so playoff teams wont have any trouble fitting him in... I'm thinking he gets a 1st round pick

If the Devils get a 1st round pick for Boyle, the Devils franchise might as well build up a Ray Shero Statue next to Marty's.:laugh::laugh:

The last time Boyle was deadline bait, he had 13 goals and 22 points through 54 games, and he returned a 2nd and a prospect.

Boyle currently has 9 goals and 13 points through 30 games. Come deadline time, his production should be fairly similar to what it was 2 years ago when he was traded to Toronto. Mix in the intangibles and the new "storyline" that has developed since his last 2016 trade, I would expect Boyle to return a 2nd round pick. Perhaps a prospect, too.

That's if he's moved, though.
