Flu may have been a reason for those lines. So that there's some energy in each line and you can equalize ice time between them.

Do anyone has TOIs per lines?

What are we going to do with Hackett? Gustafsson?
Nothing right now, because it's too early to tell with Kemp. Remember when Hackett looked good? We've only had a small sample of each guy so far. Kemp looked good tonight except for the rebounds. Lots of them...big ones too. But he made up for them and remained calm. Good to see.

As for the team. Good rebound in the 2nd. But they let off the gas in the 3rd. Thanks to Detroit's injuries, they were able to win by playing 30 minutes of actual hockey. Lord does our defense look brutal though. Should have been 3-1. Detroit's 1st goal was an epic failure. Yowzers!

Attendance was over 19K tonight. So....who is starting the Zucker fan club?

Larsson blended in in his role. Kuemper was very Khudobiny at times tonight and laid some horribe rebounds out there but he is quick and it looked good. Zucker im not ready to anoint yet but gd he looked great. Yoiks! Wings fans everywhere. Holy **** their d is bad. Seemed like someone was falling over every shift.

Kuemper looks like he's 16.

Still, good for the kid, getting that 1st win is always special. And yeah, they look similar. Hard to believe Zucker is the younger one.

you guys don't think the horribleness of Detroit's D had even a little bit to do with how well Zucker looked? Or anyone, for that matter. I'll take it after losing to the Avs despite their D, but the Wings defense was truly bad. worse than ours at any point this year.

Kind of nice to have a player who could exploit that weakness isn't it?

Prosser = Wins... nbd.

Good things...
-Great 2nd period. Played physically and won puck battles... showed up on the scoreboard.
-Zucker played a great game. Great to see him come up and look like he belongs.
-Kuemper played a solid game. He's controlled in the net and make sound plays with the puck on his stick. The first goal against was caused by bad play in the D zone and the second was an absolute snipe. We have solid young goaltending and that depth is great to have right now.
-Granlund is on a 3 game scoring streak... The game is starting to slow down for him.
-PK killed a 4 minute double minor at an important time of the game.
-We won the freaking game. It looks like this team may be building some confidence... next step is consistency.

Areas of opportunity...
-Came out flat in the first, and played to protect the lead in the third. The team must show more consistency of effort.
-This blonde chick on the post game show.
-We take too many penalties. Seto's cross check may have been him trying to protect himself, but this has been a trend.
-D depth top to bottom. We need more consistency in our d end with the bottom pair guys, so Yeo can even out the minutes a bit. No reason Dumba doesn't make the team next year.

Conclusion...
We beat a team ahead of us in the standings. There are no easy nights in the Western conference. Hopefully we can string a few together and move up the standings.

yes, and we could have used that on other nights too but i'm recalling those prediction threads pre-lockout where everyone was telling Detroit fans how horrible their D was going to be with all the losses and them saying they were going to be fine...its just so heartwarming.

Jack Jablonski got a picture with Todd from Wedding Crashers. Awesome.

But really, that's awesome for him. He looks so stoked in that pic. Love Datsyuk.

GIGANTIC win for the Wild, considering the off days and stretch ahead we have, facing the Griffins/Wings tonight we absolutely had to have this one in regulation, and although the start was again horrific, the guys actually responded and held the lead this time. Suter is dynamite with Brodin, have to keep them together, Zucker needs to stay up here, Kuemper was our savior tonight, and Granlund continues his quite but stellar play lately getting that assist and being solid in the faceoff circles. Love the way we came back and held that lead tonight, and what a relief is my biggest feeling after this one.
