Not Even A Big Fan!!
I personally like your team better than IR's team.
Especially now that Streit and Savard are injured.
Maybe they could make a bet for the season, an avi or user name bet. We all know IR4 loves those

wow, didn't even notice how good his D are.
Completely disagree on the forwards though, my 2nd 3rd and 4th lines are better than his IMO. I may be a bit bias though.
Honestly, you have a good team, but ranking you number 2 was one of the things I disagreed with Juice on. There are certainly better teams.

are in desperate need of some RW, D and Goalies so PM me ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As promised, here is my breakdown of each team going into the '10-'11 season. I have ranked each team in order for all 4 forward lines, all 3 defense lines and the goalie position with various weights attached to them.
Since this is a goalie driven league, goalies contribute 100/420 points, forwards contribute 200/420 and defense contributes 120/420.
Calculations Based on Rankings
For forwards: =SUM((21-B2)*4, (21-B3)*3, (21-B4)*2, (21-B5))
Where B2 is first line forwards, B3 is second line forwards, etc.
For defense: =SUM((21-B6)*3, (21-B7)*2, (21-B8))
Where B6 is first pairing defense, etc.
For total: =SUM(B11, B12, (21-B9)*5)
Where B11 are forward totals, B12 are defense totals and B9 is for goalies.
In the TEAMS portion of the post I list each team (in no particular order) along with their individual rankings in each category, in the rankings by position I list each team for each position in order 1-20 and in the team rankings portion I copy and posted straight from excel, teams are ranked from highest point total to lowest.
Without further ado, the wall of text commences!

hahaha wow, and i thought i had too much time on my hands
anyways, one thing that is majorly flawed with your rankings is that dmen and forwards are actually pooled together so your post of "forwards contribute 200/420 and defense contributes 120/420" is actually skewed because a forward really accounts for way more pts than a dman in rotisserie, as there are 12f pos and only 6d and forwards score more during the season and are more valued.....
other than the top 10 guys or so, dmen in rotisserie just provide depth...forward lines and goalies drive ur teams.....
regardless....ur predictions r interesting, dont agree at all with many of em, but interesting none the least.....we'll have to see how the season plays out....
i counted 4-5 teams my 1st line is better then AT LEAST! anyway PM me to talk trade please
I hate to do thise but I waive Jacob Markstrom and pick up Todd Bertuzzi
I hate to do thise but I waive Jacob Markstrom and pick up Todd Bertuzzi
the ny rangers would like to drop martin biron and pick up jacob markstrom
Nice work, agrudez.. however I still completely disagree with some of the forward and D lines ahead of me.
Also, how is Halak - Dubnyk @ 18th behind Lehtonen - Smith
Ellis - Neuvirth, and Quick - Raycroft?
Feel free to point out which ones, I like discussing things.
I, personally, think Lehtonen may have a better season than Halak as I actually liked his potential in Atlanta and is now going to a better team (where he will have virtually no competition for playing time and may see 65+ GP). Halak had a hot playoff run and will fall back to Earth, just like hundreds of goalies before him who did the same thing. As a Flyers fan I can remember Hextall, Ceckmanek, Boucher and Esche all having 1 hot season that made everyone think they would be perennial all stars and then falling flat on their face the next year.
This is not to mention that in Atlanta Dan Ellis proved he couldn't hold onto the reigns of a team, so I kind of expect Smith to beat him out for the position sometime during the season and play 55ish games, but that may just be me.
Also, Dubnyk splitting time with Deslauries instead of playing 10-20 games a year behind Khabibulin may actually bite you in the ass because that 3+ GAA and <.9 SVPCT are going to ruin any stats that Halak puts up.
Those are the two teams I rated the duo better than, actually.
Alright, here's my opinons.
Latendresse - Vermette - Little is better than;
Stalberg - J Staal - Frolik
Lupul - Backlund - Guerin
Versteeg - Peverley - J. Williams
Latendresse is a wildcard, but I always have to tame my excitement when a player underperforms for multiple seasons and then is "rejuvenated" by a change of scenery, especially in a system like Minnesota's (I don't care how many times they say they want to be more of an offensive team, I'll believe it when I see it)
Vermette may very well be a solid sleeper (another 60 point season), or Brassard could supplant him on Nash's line (another 40 point season)
Little slightly increased production after Kovalchuk's departure, so I expect him to be closer (but not quite there) to his 50 point season than his previous season's numbers
All in all I predict:
35P - 45P - 45P with low hit totals and mediocre PP production
For Stalberg - J Staal - Frolik I predict:
35P - 55P - 45P with moderate hit totals and below average PP production, with the wildcard being if Staal gets PP time, his point total could jump to 70 with above average PP output.
For Lupul - Backlund - Guerin obviously you move above this line now that Guerin was cut from the Flyers, but prior to that I was predicting he played with Richards (despite him sucking, but hey, Canon was forced to drag Carcillo around last year) and point totals like this:
45P - 35P - 40P with low hit totals and high PP production
For Versteeg - Peverley - J. Williams I predict:
40P - 40P - 45P with above average hit totals and above average PP production, with the wildcard being if Peverley can prove that his splits last year were a mistake (he did terrible after Kovalchuk left Atlanta), he could increase to 55P, potentially.
Omark (Higgins) - Brule - Yip is better than;
Nystrom - Brodziak - Laperierre
Is Omark even going to make the Oilers?
Brule put up career high totals as a fringe 3rd liner playing on a higher line, but he is going to be back on the 3rd line with Hemsky and Hall taking 2 top 6 spots this year.
Yip is a nice pick, but will most likely have a sophmore slump adjusting to a full NHL season.
All in all I predict:
5P - 25P - 25P with below average hit totals and no PP production, with the wildcard being if Omark is more than just a callup, he could get 10-15 points.
For Nystrom - Brodziak - Laperierre it becomes much closer now that Lappy will likely miss most of the season (if not all), but before his PCS symptoms popped up I would have predicted:
20P - 30P - 20P with good hit totals and no PP production
Ballard - Burns is better than;
Goligoski - Greene
Ballard will have a much better +/- in Vancouver, but will likely see a reduction in PP time with Vancouver's offensively talented Dmen already there, which will offset all the extra second assists he will get from being on a better team.
Burns hasn't had a healthy season in awhile, which is always a red flag for me.
All in all I predict:
30P-25P with moderate hit totals and moderate PP production, with the wildcard being if Burns can put together a full season, his production could jump to 35.
For Goligoski - Greene I predict:
35P-35P with moderate hit totals and high PP production
Giordano - Kulikov is better than;
Pietrangelo - Gunnarson
Giordano is a very solid dman, no doubt about it.
Kulikov will have a bad +/-, and may or may not have a sophmore slump (if you can even do worse than 15 points in 68GP), especially now that Florida lost one of their top offensive threats: Horton and their 2 best puck moving dmen: Ballard and Seidenberg. He may get PP time now, though, just because there may quite litterally be noone else on Florida's roster to put there.
All in all I predict:
30P-20P with moderate hit totals and moderate PP production, with the wildcard being if Giordano can stay healthy (could drop to 15-20P)
For Pietrangelo - Gunnarson I predict:
20P-25P with low hit totals and high PP production, with the wildcard being both of their talent levels - I am very high on both of these young guys, to be honest.
For now; however, until they prove that potential, then you do win this matchup.
Cumiskey - Gilroy is WORSE than;
Stuart - Coburn
Coburn may end up on the 3rd pairing in Philly if he doesn't pull his head from his ass, and will see VERY limited PP time this season, don't expect much offensively from him... and Mark Stuart isn't exactly lighting it up in Boston, either.
On the other hand, I really like Cumiskey, and Gilroy is a servicable 3rd pairing fantasy guy.
Don't sell yourself short.
