First, I'd like to thank Hlaverty and the Islanders on a terrific series. Hlav has had more success then anyone in recent memory as GM of the Islanders, and he should be extremely proud of what his team looks like.

Having already faced the Boston Bruins and New York Islanders, why not bring on another difficult match up? Our road to the Stanley Cup brings us to our toughest challenge yet, the NHL leading Pittsburgh Penguins. With one stunning trade, they added, well, basically the core of the San Jose Sharks, adding to an already impressive roster. They have depth through their entire line up and can match up well with just about everyone.

We feel that we have the ability to match the Penguins surging offense, with some key offensive additions. Our bottom 6 may not have the offense of Pittsburgh, but they are a punishing, hard-hitting group who can play a fantastic 2-way game and can certainly be counted on to contribute on the score sheet. On defense, I feel that we have a more mobile group, which will help our fast forwards with their breakouts. Our transition game can certainly cause fits for our opponents. While Carey Price has struggled lately, I question how much of it comes down to the injuries that have forced him out of the playoffs? Because when he's healthy and on his game, there is no doubt he's one of the top goalies in the NHL.

We hope that we have the team that can slay the giants and allow us to try and win the franchise's 25th Stanley Cup!

Looking back, that Pens Sharks trade probably should've been vetoed. Basically every player San Jose has left of value for Bennett and some good specs, not really great (or at least even close to what those players should've commanded). Not accusing anybody of cheating but that almost seems like the San Jose GM made a trade just for the hell of it (like the Karlsson trade).

At the time it didn't seem that way but now it does. He hasn't been online since that trade

i find it sad that i didnt win over a team when i clearly had a better team than Devils. Devils have made a great job, no doubt about that, but still...

Well it's a battle of the best of the best this best GM game and there is no doubt there this will be a tough series. The Pens clearly have a great offense there is no doubt about that. But we here in :hawks feel like we have a pretty good offense group too. It's not loaded up with offensive talent like the pens have but it is a good group with a mix of scoring and grit. Our bottom line contains some of the more annoying and gritty players in the league.

While offense might not be our thing we here in :hawks feel like this series will come down to defense and we are confident in our D-crop to get the job done. It contains a good defensive defensemen on every pairing and every defensemen in the D-Crop has the ability to shutdown opposing teams offense. In goal we have a former Olympian and Silver medal winner goaltender in Ryan Miller who has shown when given an average team he can still take them to the playoffs (Buffalo 2010-11). If he for some reason can't handle the pressure we have a 2 time Gold medal champ and 3 time Stanley Cup champ in Martin Brodeur who is the best goaltender in league history. Last season clearly showed he still has some game in him left. In the third slot we have Ray Emery who has made it to the Cup finals before and he has had a great season.

In conclusion the pens might have a better forward group but here in :hawks we believe we have a better defense group and a more experience and deeper goaltending duo but like I said before this will be a tight series and will be hard fought and no matter what happens there will be no hard feelings.
