I can't believe Florida just barely squeaked into the playoffs...

Anyone want to give me their reasoning?

I suppose I should be happy I made into the playoffs at all, since last place is where I started.

And not sure if you got my pm Dong, but I'll volunteer for doing the draft. Been in a lot of drafts lately so it's about time I did one myself.

^^^ Look at the teams in front of you, they're really good. The East was stacked, plain and simple.

Solid 1-2-3 punch of Giroux, Getzlaf, and Roy. Big wingers that hit, score, and wear you down throughout the series. Good tough defence 1 through 6, and a solid starting goaltender.

This is not Only Rangers Vs Islander , the battle of NY , it's more than that.. It's a repeat of last games SCF Gabby Vs Hlav and we all know how that ended last game :p Hlav has a good team but I believe mine is better, we have more depth and grit overall and our players play a defensive game, Remember the best offense is the Defense

The Draft

The Draft will be fast and furious and it will probably be over in 1 hour. Each team will need to send me a
list of players for me to pick from if they don't plan on showing up. If a player on your list is available when
I go to pick for you , then I will give you the player that is towards the top of your list. Once a player is chosen for your team, it can not be changed, so I again ask that you submit a list of players to me so you have a chance at getting the players you want. If the gm of the team is in Chatzy time will be given for them to make a pick. However, teams that are not present will be autoed. Again this draft will occur at a fast pace with few if any stops between large numbers of picks being selected or auoted at one time, so please send me a list.

The current Plan for the Draft is for it to start tomorrow at 10:00 EST
The Draft will be 4 rounds long. If you have picks please pm them to me, I'll be making up the draft order tonight and this will speed up the process. Also if you don't plan on showing up at all or don't own any draft picks please let me know. Again if you have picks please send me a list so you have a better chance at getting the players you want.

TLTR: Send me a list of players you would want a better shot at getting, if you won't be in chatzy at the time of the draft. Draft is tomorrow night at 10:00 Est. Draft is 4 rounds. Please pm me your list of picks to help me build up the draft selection list quicker.

I'm slightly confused by the numerous rosters ive seen washington post. There are 2 or 3 different rosters in the Team Station thread, another was posted before the voting, and now a different line-up was just posted recently here. *scratches head*

I can't believe Florida just barely squeaked into the playoffs...

Anyone want to give me their reasoning?

IMO, your defence is weak. its not god-awfull, but compared to other teams that is why you just squeaked into the playoffs. Your top line is awesome however.

Im confused that a Defense like Carolina, with a goaltender like Ward and an improved Offense wouldnt make the playoffs.. Guess thats the way the game goes... How San Jose makes it 1st in the league is beyond me. Flaws of the game I guess.

Congrats to Pittsburgh on winning the President's Trophy. Great accomplishment and well earned for WCB.

How did Boston come 7th? I certainly am not surprised to be facing the Bruins in the playoffs, but there is no way we thought that we would end up facing them in the first round. We made roster moves in preparation of playing a physical team like the Bruins, and we hope we have assembled the right pieces to survive an extremely tough, first round match up. Best of luck to Top 6 and the B's!

You do realize people vote based on what of their friends are managing the team and based on what the team is doing in the NHL for the most part now right?! ... If the team has lots of guys who can put up points but NO heart whatsoever, centers with poor faceoff %s, a team full of ******* who wont hit and bad defensive guys, they still will be voted for. This is a popularity contest, not a vote on which team will be best come playoff time...

To be fair those are, in his words, his 'benchwarmers' which assumably means minors or scratches. Scratching or sending some of those to the minors is dumb, but whatever.

Yeah, I agree. I put my entire roster out, the way it would be if they were to play tomorrow. I mean, FFS, Burmistrov, Silfverberg, Zibs, Kreider, and Huberdeau all played significant roles in their team's success this year. For them not to be on your roster is BS, and you having 1st overall over me is BS as well.

I agree and for the next game (for which I am main commissioner) their will be rules against pulling this ,as well as a fine for waiving more then 2 people.

But then what's the point of waiving when it just punishes people who take bad teams and have to get rid of **** tons of capspace to contend?

I had to get rid of Kuba, Jovanovksi, Bergenheim and Upshall because of their expensive ****ing contracts, literally NO ONE would take Upshall or Bergenheim even if I offered them on a golden platter. If there's a fine it just forces teams with bad contracts to rebuild instead of contend, which like is totally not cool.
