For all the praise Washington gets for their rebuild, this team is STACKED. I think this is my favourite to win the Rebuilder Cup.

NJ, Anaheim, and Colorado also look pretty scary. Given how little assets Calgary had to move, they put together a pretty solid squad as well.

This^
Take a look at the top teams contending for the KLLR Cup and the peices they had to rebuild they're team. Washington(Ovechkin, Green, Backstrom, Ribeiro, etc), New Jersey(Kovalchuk, Elias, Henrique, Clarkson, etc) St. Louis(Stewart, Shattenkirk, Steen, Berglund, Bouwmeester, etc), Anahiem(Getzlaf, Perry, Ryan, Hiller, etc)

I had an Iginla/Bouwmeester-less(we all know the returns they got) Calgary squad and turned them into a pretty solid young team.

Dickinson at 7, Fucale to Ottawa, Monahan at 14, Lazar at 32, Subban at 64, Kubalik at 94 and Remi Elie not being drafted stand out to me. I don't mind Harper even if he wasn't my first choice for that spot. Good job by Water Knight.

It's the final battle for the west and to make things more interesting it is an original 6 matchup. The Red Wings are a good team so I won't talk bad about them instead I will talk about the Hawks. What a year it has been for the Blackhawks and all of the success they have had so far this season has been done without a proven number 1 goalie, a 2nd line center and a top 6 winger. This Chicago team has all of those and then some. Need a number 1? Well how about two. With Ryan Miller and Martin Brodeur it's safe to say that goaltending is not a problem. Our defense has been upgraded with the addition of three top 4 defensemen. giving us some good depth. Upfront our top 2 centers are Jonathan Toews and Vincent Lecavalier. To help them out on the wing David Clarkson,Blake Wheeler and TJ Oshie has been added. Overall here in :hawks we feel like we have the depth and talent to win the Stanley Cup.

First off, congrats to Produce for doing Produce-like things to overcome vetoes, fleece other teams, and reach the ECF. He's done an admirable job with the team, considering that it's a lot easier to win in these games with the Pens and the Hawks than with the Habs.

However, I think that the Pens are a clear cut above the opposition. Sidney Crosby is the best player in the league, and the forward group as a whole matches up very favorably with Montreal's forwards. In particular, the Marleau-Pavelski-Stafford line has the ability to dominate their 3rd line counterparts, and the 4th line of Torres-Jokinen-Dupuis combines immense offensive talent with immeasurable grit.

The Canadiens' defense and goaltending is another area of concern. My defensive group has far more playoff experience than Produce's group, and Vezina nominated/Stanley Cup champion goalie Antti Niemi has proven to be more steady and reliable than Carey Price.

My team was voted first in the conference for a reason, and I hope that you'll all vote for my squad again in this series.

Congrats to Dong on making it to the West Finals. I've addressed all of the Wings problems and much more. Datsyuk has needed a top six scoring winger for quite some time now. Unlike players like Toews and Stamkos, he hasn't really had the luxury of playing with somebody that can consistently capitalize on his elite playmaking since Hossa left Detroit. We've added Kovalchuk for this. Datsyuk and him would be one of the best duos in the league. We also needed another top six winger with the departure of Hudler. Elias more than fits the bill. Zetterberg loves to shoot, so putting him with Elias is truly a perfect fit. Then on the right wing is Franzen, who is known as a playoff beast for a reason. Our last need on offense was some more secondary scoring. With Helm out we've really struggled this year after the top six. Gagner was added for this reason. One of the best forwards on the Oilers this year, Gagner is a capable second line center on most teams. He's on our third line to gives us that secondary scoring, which is so key in the playoffs, with Filppula and Bertuzzi.

On defense we've really lacked a top pairing defenseman to play with Kronwall all year. Ericsson is a very good top 4 guy, but not really top pairing material yet (although he is well on his way to being one). That's why we added Shattenkirk. Shattenkirk gives us a legit top pairing defenseman to play with Kronwall, and improves our power play immensely. We've used Brunner on the point almost all year because we have no offensive defenseman for that spot. With Shattenkirk, our second power play unit will be relevant again. We also added Paul Martin, who has had a fantastic year with Pittsburgh. He gives us a great shutdown pairing with Ericsson.

We really feel like we've more than fixed all of our needs and wants. We have legit star power up front, amazing depth, an incredible defense, and a great goaltender. Best of luck to Dong, he's done an amazing job with the Hawks, no shame in losing to such a great team.
