Yes and no. It has not been approved for when you take an appointment for a second dose(call centre or booked at vax centre or online clic santé), but it can be accepted if you get to a vaccination centre by mistake with the wrong vaccine type/day. So it is half accepted. It is not information available to public yet...Last I checked wasn’t there a go ahead to be able to mix vaccines? Like Moderna/Pzifer can be swapped.
National vaccine panel allows for mixing and matching COVID-19 vaccines
So we have to wait till the date before booking? Or we can do it right away?
You have to wait till your age group to either go on clic santé web OR call the call centre to do it for you(1-877-644-4545). Call centre and clic santé web will deny modifications until age group requirement met.So we have to wait till the date before booking? Or we can do it right away?

They will then be able to shorten the time between your two doses for a maximum of 8 weeks(instead of 16 weeks/112 days) between dose 1 and 2. Depending on the region, your age group and vaccines availability you might not get 8 weeks between the two doses and it'll be a few weeks higher/longer.
Best of luck!
The gov blocked the option to cancel any 2nd dose appointment for our citizens on clic santé web. If I understand correctly you would like to cancel an appointment in a mass vaccination centre as she got a new/better one in a pharmacy. As a good citizen, to liberate a dose for our other fellow citizens, I would suggest you to call 1-877-644-4545 options *-7-2-(followed by the digits associated to your region) to have it cancelled. My mother got her 2nd dose of moderna. She called the pharmacy and gave her the appointment.
I tried to cancel but didn't let me. Should I wait for her group to open so I can cancel ?

70 days! Today is day 1 for that new directive!
lol sorryJust got the vaccine.
Was still given September 24th as the date for my second dose. Was told to reschedule on Clic Santé website once I'm eligible. 8 weeks from my eligibility date is the soonest I'll be able to book it.
The gov is trying to confuse everyone by instoring a few rules for the delays between doses.
People who went to their 1st dose appointment before June 4 - 112 days between dose 1 and 2.
People who will go for their 1st dose appointment after June 4 - 70 days between dose 1 and 2.
Possibility to change lenght between dose 1 and 2 according to your age group - Cannot be less than 56 days between doses.
-Covid to dose 1 - Delay of 90 days(changes coming soon for 70 days) to 21 days - The call centre will make its best to make it as close to 90 days as possible but not over.
-Covid+dose 1 to dose 2(for those who want a second dose) - 28 days minimum and higher depending on appointments availability.
AstraZeneca dose 1 to dose 2 - 56 days between both doses.
AstraZeneca dose 1 to dose 2 and dose 3 of Pfizer is case by case - many different lenghts depending on your case, health situation, etc.
Talk about a complicated clusterf*** lol
Haha well that's f***ed up. Good for you! They must have had some logistical problem which ended up in your favor!
Got vaxxed last week, they gave me an appointment in early August (68 days later) for my 2nd dose.
How's your arm?
Have I missed updates about the alert levels changing again now that some regions have been doing really well for multiple weeks? Monteregie hasn't been over yellow in what I think is almost 2 months. Montreal and Laval are not just not red, but they aren't even in the yellow anymore.
