They have already announced the vaccine wont stop you from getting the virus, and you will still need to wear your mask, and you can still transfer the virus. So what good is this vaccine exactly?

Has anyone looked up how devastating the vaccine was on minks (the animal with the most similar respiratory system to ours) after being exposed to the real virus? It made it exponentially more fatal.

Take your vitamins, get your excercise, eat healthy foods and get your sunshine. You will be fine, our immune systems have gone through a lot worse.

10000 deaths 200(numbers a little off but percentages correct) outside of long term care homes. You don't die from covid, you die from an existing condition, the mainstream media created hysteria is criminal.

Nice to see someone educated on Covid.

So you disagree with his idea of keeping bars and restaurants closed for the next 6 months?

The question you need to be asking is why is Bill Gates out in front of a camera talking about it in the first place? Why do we need to know what a retired software developer thinks about pandemic matters?

Should point out for everyone who wasn't aware that uber-philanthropist Billy Gates's net worth still doubled over the last decade or so. So he took more money out of the system than everyone in this forum combined would make in ten lifetimes, despite already being one of the wealthiest men in existence. Maybe it's just me, but I'm not gonna throw the guy a parade for kicking some of it back.

Well in my opinion the big bad guy helped to introduce an entire industry that a lot of people made a lot of well earned money from. Blue collar included.

Because he's rich and therefore better than us and we should all heed his and other mega-rich peoples warnings about everything. Duh.

And don't you DARE question if these people have any ulterior motives.

Because he's taken up vaccine development since retiring from Microsoft, which is like more than a decade ago.

I guess you can be mad that his stock portfolio went up in value. He didn't take "money out of the system", his assets are just worth more today than they were 10 years ago, it's like being mad at someone if their house is worth more today than it was 10 years ago.

My concern about all those extraordinary, unsupported comments is that typical of most misinformation attempts there's just enough truth sprinkled in it so that one doesn't dismiss them outright.

The 17M minks in Denmark were culled because researchers detected a mutation in the SARS-CoV-2 virus that was spreading within the Danish mink population. Their concern was that if the mutated virus crossed over to humans it may make the vaccine's in development less effective so the minks were culled.

Covid-19: Denmark to kill 17 million minks over mutation that could undermine vaccine effort
Exactly, I was just trying to make fun of that particular line of misinformation.
It was too over the top to be considered called a serious attempt imo, more funny than concerning this time around.

That Dane story has a twist, with minister in charge having to step down because it was illegal, the prime minister crying on air after they realized that it was (probably) not necessary and then later the minks becoming zombie minks. Crazy story all around

Bill Gates has been talking about viruses and pandemics for a long time. Hell, didn't he predict a pandemic in a Ted Talk in Vancouver a few years ago? He is in the field and does a lot of work in it around the world. Why wouldn't they ask him his opinion? We aren't robots. We can listen to him or ignore him. Just like anybody else out there.

I respect your opinion but personally think Gates is a sheep in wolf clothing and since when is he a doctor to start giving his advice to the world.
Gates knows far more about infectious disease than virtually any doctor. He has been deeply involved in vaccine development and deployment for years, while nobody in North America cared, and has direct access to many of the world's best people on the subject.

Why is it that only doctors can give advice? Gates has dedicated a significant amount of his time and money to helping fight illnesses around the world. His opinion matter more then 99% of the doctors out there.
cause the guy has money does not make him a God . I rehab people with brain injuries and have been since 2001 does that make me a specialist that I can start pumping out the advice? The guys is the Anti-Christ right-hand man in my personal opinion and he can shove his vaccine up his ass

Big deal. If he simply invested in an index fund he would see a return like that.

Are you anti-capitalism?
