Jérémie Malouin won't be going to UQTR, will attend Colorado Avalanche's camp.

However, the team has signed LW Olivier D'Aoust. Played Jr AAA last year, but rest of junior career was with the Moncton Wildcats.

Many a player has gone to a pro camp and then to university. All depends if he gets a contract.

The UPEI Panthers today announced forward Robin Soudek, a Czech national who played four years in the WHL and twice for the Czech Republic at the World Junior Championships.

http://news.upei.ca/media/2013/08/21/european-forward-commits-upei-panthers

nice recruit for PEI, almost a point a game player in the dub for Chilliwack then Victoria when the team was sold. He's a Czek, not a Swede and plays tough over the whole 200 ft. I'm surprised he didn't go Canada West to play with old team mates but PEI is a shorter flight home.

Re:Alberta

Golden Bears Head Coach Ian Herbers was on our show "Oilers Now" on Wednesday and said that forward Jamie Crooks has committed to the U of A and that forward TJ Foster has registered for School but will attend the training camp of the Washington Capitals.

Crooks is a 5'11, 185 pound winger who scored 37 and 33 goals in his last two seasons in the WHL playing in Victoria. Crooks' GM in Victoria was Cam Hope who is a U. of A. Law Grad who worked for Glen Sather in New York.

Foster played a lot of minutes on the Edmonton Oil Kings over the last couple of seasons on their top line with Michael St. Croix and Dylan Wruck. The Oil Kings won the WHL Championship in 2012 and lost in six games to Portland in the WHL Final this past spring (The Oil Kings lost their best defenceman 2012 #4 overall pick Griffin Reinhart and top 6 20-year old fwd Trevor Cheek to injury before the series started).

Foster a 5'11, 175 pound winger had 75 and 74 points in the last two seasons with the Oil Kings.

Herbers also stated that he fully expects that recruit goaltender Luke Siemens will really push 2012-13 1st Team CIS All-Canadian Kurtis Mucha for the #1 job in goal.
Siemens won 35 games each of the last two seasons in the WHL playing as a 19 year-old with Moose Jaw and last season with Prince Albert.

The Golden Bears return their seven top scoring forwards from last season and all of their defenceman.

Herbers did indicate that he may not be done trying to improve his roster.

Alberta won the Canada West title, but was stunned in the opening game at the University Cup losing 2-1 to Waterloo despite outshooting the Warriors 43-13.

Alberta then defeated St. Mary's 4-3 in OT in their second game at Nationals in a game in which they outshot the CIS Silver medallists 40-20.

Last 2 recruits for RMC now that they are 100% in are defenseman Aidan Orbinski from the Oakville Blades (OJHL) and forward Kyle Phillips from Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL).

Orbinski joins a now physically strong defense core at 6'4, 205 pounds. He played 2 season with the Blades, scoring 35 points in 2 season. A defensive defenseman, Aidan should be right at home in the small confines of Constantine Arena.

Phillips played his whole junior career in Carleton Place and was captain in his final season with the Canadians. A 2 way, hard working forward has a work ethic that should fit right in with the other hard workers the Paladins have!

McGill also add former QMJHL G Jacob Gervais-Chouinard. Another great pickup since Chouinard was one of the top goaltender in the Q last year.

He also played 3 games with the Hamilton Bulldogs. I'm not sure if it will affect his eligibilty status.

Don't think so, since it was before being 21.

According to Laurier's release in July, delete forward Martin Kudla, add defenceman Peter MacIntosh: http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=45685. Not sure if everyone will show up however.

On the topic of departures (alluded to above), Eliteprospects has a fair summary of players who have signed pro from CIS. Guelph has lost two of its major recruits from last year in former Penguins draft pick Andy Bathgate, and former top 4 OHL defenceman Mike Schwindt, both of whom had strong rookie seasons.
